Television’s last musical dramedy series, The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, attracted a devoted but small audience so the ratings were always very low. How will Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist perform for NBC? Will the offbeat series be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist stars Jane Levy, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Peter Gallagher, and Mary Steenburgen with Lauren Graham as a special guest star. Zoey Clarke (Levy) is a whip-smart computer coder who’s making her way in San Francisco. After an unusual event, Zoey, who always preferred podcasts over pop songs, suddenly starts to hear the innermost wants, thoughts, and desires of the people around her – her family, co-workers and complete strangers – through popular songs.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
5/4 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist TV series on NBC? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
*6/12/20 update: Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist has been renewed for a second season.
We love Zoey’s extraordinary playlist. Please do not cancel this show.
I love this show ♥️ I hope it count that I watch it on hulu cuz……….I need it to stay such a fun watch.
I absolutely LOVE this show. Every friend I have told to watch is has fallen in LOVE too. It HAS to come back for another season!!
This show needs to go. It’s taking up space that could be used for something better. I love musicals, and I was a huge fan of Glee, but Zoey’s was miscast all the way ’round. And Dora the Explorer called Mary S. and said she wants her hairstyle back.
what do you mean this is one of the best shows I have watched in a long time but I guess we all have out opinions.
Please keep this show on! Delightful! We need this type of TV!!
yes this very true
I love love this show. I love all the characters and singing. There’s no show like this I can’t wait for Sunday nights. My brother has disabilitys and this show has shown him how to express his feelings through songs
I love love love Zoeys playlist! Everyone I’ve told about it loves it! It will break my heart if it is cancelled. My whole family loves it!
Renew it, please! It is vibrant and there are great characters who are so talented! This show is so much better than any of the reality or talent shows. Please renew!
Love this show! The cast is fabulous and they work well together. My 75 year old husband and I just love it and hope it is on NBC for years!
Zoey is clever, fun, and weirdly addictive. I love her (what’s not to love) outlook on life and friends. I hope she gets with max but it’s all good. Offbeat. Too bad they put it after the super bowl then waited a month for episode 2.
Too much between. It could be glee for older kids. I’m 63. Not the right demographic for nbc.
I think Zoey’Extraordinary Playlist is great! It’s witty, funny and wonderful how they use music and modern dance to express the thoughts and feelings she’s hearing. It definitely should have a season two. It’s the only show of its kind! It’s Fresh and that’s a good thing.
Love love love this show. Hope it gets renewed
I don’t know if these rating are counting Hulu because that’s where I look forward to watching.
This show is an awesome Network series. For all the hype about some, loosers, I was lucky to catch the full 1st episode on YouTube. You see the Networks rarely have new good shows and have lots of tiresome same type shows. We’ve for the most part tuned out Networks, this one, Zoey’s, gives me pause to re consider.
If it stays I will. If it goes, goodbye again to you Networks.
So far such a feel good show. Hope it stays on the air.
