Parenthood: NBC Series Gets Third Season Renewal

Parenthood season threeWe reported yesterday that NBC was working on renewing Parenthood for a third season. The deal is apparently done now, ensuring that the Braverman family will be back in primetime next season. There hasn’t been official confirmation about how many episodes have been ordered yet.

The renewal is actually a no-brainer, especially considering the state of the rest of NBC’s schedule. Parenthood has lost viewers over the last couple seasons but still ranks as the second-highest rated drama on the the network. This season has averaged a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers.

Loosely based on a 1989 movie of the same name, Parenthood stars Bonnie Bedelia, Craig T. Nelson, Dax Shepard, Erika Christensen, Lauren Graham, Mae Whitman, Max Burkholder, Miles Heizer, Monica Potter, Peter Krause, Sam Jaeger, Sarah Ramos, and Savannah Rae.

NBC will officially unveil the new 2011-12 schedule to advertisers on Monday but will give reporters a preview on Sunday. Be user to bookmark and visit our NBC cancel/renew page to keep up with the latest comings and goings.

We really enjoy this show and the marriage at the end of this season was a real plus. This is agreat series for Parents and young adults. Please keep it renewed as this is one series we really look forward to every week. Reminds me of how people sayed home on Friday nights years ago to watch Dallas and Falcon Crest on CBS. Revenge on ABC and Parenthood are the two best series. Would like to see Parenthood on a Thursday or Friday night.

Have NEVER written to a network to save a show…but you all would be doing a disservice to loyal fans if you cancel this WONDERFUL show!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Please DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!!
WHY CANCEL IT?? I DO NOT GET IT!!!
IT MAKES THE MOST SENSE TO US PARENTS!
This show has the most reality ever!!!! Everything that has happened in Parenthood is so real! It’s an eye opener!!
I’m sooooOOOOOO UPSET! that I found out this news…… :(

I love the show.. maybe lighten up the chitter chatter over each other… too many characters talk over each other on the show.. but don’t get me wrong.. I’m hooked!

OK FE MAYBE YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THAT……. BUT REALLY THE WHOLE SHOW IS SO REAL!! NO NEED TO CANCEL IT!
MAYBE IT LOST VIEWERS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT PLAY IT CONSISTANTLY EVERY TUESDAY?? VIEWERS ARE WAITING FOR IT EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!!
