Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
Well that sucks! Another one of my favorite shows cancelled. NBC is going to have so that I don’t watch their network at all. It will probably be replaced with another reality show.
I don’t understand why this show would be cancelled as so many people I know love this show!! The acting was great and I was already attached to the characters. Watching this show always left me feeling positive – like there was hope for humanity.
Mistake to cancel Believe. Great show. We love it. Hope the Renew
Why do all the good shows get cancelled.. well this years Believe is the only 1 i liked on the chopping block but i really really liked it…
I am shocked this unique television series did not make it. I am so tired of the same types of programs on TV. This is the only show I looked forward to watching each week. It’s too bad they didn’t give it another shot.
Why are you cancelling this when there are so many others that can be replaces this is the only show I watch on this Channel guess will not be watching any more. I really likes this show.
I can’t understand why they cancelled believe. Any decent shows and they pull the plug. Television has gone down the tubes. All it is are reality shows. What happened to entertainment?
I just found out Believe has been cancelled, we are crushed. We watch it as a family. Very sad. I guess not enough rape and murder to keep the show in top ratings, sad. Shame on you NBC!
I can’t believe they are canceling Believe!!! I love the characters and the premise of the show is a breath of fresh air: doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do. Bo and her dad are adorable,
Hate that it is ending everyone I know Dvrs it and watches it awesome show
I only watch two shows a week and Believe was one of them. I would catch the episodes online when I had the chance. I saw every episode. It had a good story line and really good actors. Why is it that a good show only comes around once in a great while? Or I should say, why is it that only once in a great while the networks decide to air a good show?
Such a shame I really enjoyed what I have seen so far here in the UK . So please if we all quit at the beginning we would be knowwhere xx
Networks don’t even give shows a chance to build an audience anymore. Some of the best shows in TV history had poor showings in the first seasons but went on to make TV history. Sadly, American TV viewers don’t really want uplifting, intelligent, quality programming anymore. They want fodder for idiocy. Reality garbage and cops shows or vulgar 30 minutes so called comedy…demeaning their intelligence with every click of the remote. But when they air a show about heart or hope or a program that makes you think and it’s gone in half a season, replaced with another version of… Read more »
They should sell the rights of Believe to Hulu or Syfy. so Hulu can keep the show going as an original series 🙂 or Syfy can keep it going.
YES!!! This is exactly the kind of show that would SHINE on the right network and supported properly.
That was a good show!!
