ABC has bought Crush, a drama from Taken‘s Robert Kamen, and Mysteries of Laura‘s Aaron Kaplan. Crush tells the story of a woman who reinvents herself as a vintner.

The potential series revolves around a women who, after her hedge fund crashes, inherits a vineyard in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains near a town populated with eccentric people.
Kamen will serve as writer and exec producer on the project and Kaplan will exec produce.
Kamen co-wrote all three films in the Liam Neeson “Taken” franchise, and famously penned the ’80s flick “The Karate Kid,” plus all of its feature follow-ups and the animated series adaptation. […]
[…] Coming up, Kaplan will serve as an exec producer on Sarah Jessica Parker’s “Divorce” at HBO and ABC Family’s Nicki Minaj comedy series.
For ABC, the network has strong ties with Kaplan who exec produced their alien comedy “The Neighbors” and is an EP on “Secrets and Lies,” which was renewed for Season 2.
