TNT has released another video about the new Dallas TV series. TNT has ordered 10 episodes for the first season and they’ll debut next summer. The pilot was shot earlier this year and the nine remaining installments are currently in production.
The new Dallas series will revolve around conflict between John Ross (Josh Henderson), the son of Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) and J.R. (Larry Hagman), and Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe), the adopted son of Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Pam (Victoria Principal, who’s not involved with the new series). Other castmembers include Jordana Brewster, Brenda Strong, Julie Gonzalo, and Marlene Forte.
In the video, Cynthia Cidre, executive producer and creator of the TNT series, talks about bringing together the cast of the new show. It’s interesting to note that Metcalfe originally auditioned for John Ross and a couple of the new actors initially auditioned via Skype video. How times have changed!
What do you think? Do you think the new casting works? Does Henderson look like he fits as John Ross? How about Metcalfe as Christopher?
