It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.

I am both shocked and distraught! Cancelled! Seriously! One of the best shows worth looking at on TV and it’s not coming back! I was looking forward to the next season and TNT CANCELLED IT! Ludicrous!
Really???? Please reconsider…I am the older demographic viewer and LOVED Dallas back in the day and this show was a superb following of the old series and I so looked forward to watching it. Don’t end a show mid way thru, that is so unfair to your viewers. If TNT doesn’t want it back then please find another network that will. Sick of seeing old reruns of the same old crap.
Look…everybody else is doing restarts of older very popular series. Can’t you see the writing on the wall? You cancel the most popular show in history so you could save a buck. You don’t deserve to be broadcasting IMO. I hope someone, someone with some brains, a better network, will do the right thing and bring Dallas back.

Seriously! A great show gets canceled while networks on prime time show crap over and over. Go figure we truly have no say in what we want to watch. I watch the cooking Chanel most and it’s gone to crap, Who wants to watch Trisha cook? Bring back Dallas please…..

I agree, this is really stupid. You cancel a great show and your viewers drop big time. What do you have? Shiffer brains? Bring back Dallas.
You know, I will never understand how you (the networks) make the decisions to cancel these really good shows. You first put them on networks that you can find only if surfing (because) there is nothing else on decent to watch. Anything with any substance is removed and replaced with childlike stupid shows that takes no brains figure out or some other trash not worth watching. I really loved the show & I am going to miss it!
Thank God it is over ,I have watched all seasons and found it become very confusedingt way to many plots in the new season than the original series I watched them for all 13 (thriteen)years. Sorry to the actors and staff for trying.
