It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.
What do you think? Will you miss the Ewings? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Would you watch it on another channel?
I wasn’t sure it could be pulled off, but I looked forward to every new episode….My one guilty pleasure. I am extremely disappointed that there is no season four. I was anticipating its return. Please bring it back!!! Both my husband and I enjoyed several shows on TNT: Army Wives, the Jennifer Love-Hewitt show, etc. Now, we never watch this network.
I’ve been waiting for it to come back on so i checked the internet. That show is fantastic there are some of us left who want tv dramas ,totally sick of reality tv. Bring back Dallas, bring back actors and actress to entertain not all these stupid shows about the lives of people dumb enough to tell all their personal business to the world! I hope another station picks it up and FAST!
Would you please bring Dallas back? It’s my most favorite show. You shouldn’t have canceled it. Dallas should come back on TV. The fans would be very pleased if you did.
Please bring it back!!!!!!
PLEASEEEEMe An My Wife Have Watched Dallas From The Beginning An We Were Looking So Forward To Seeing The Upcoming Season. We Are Truly Heartbroken That We Are Not Going To Be Able To Watch One Of The Most Spectacular Shows To Come On Television In Years….. Bring It Back PLEASE……..

Please bring Dallas back. I have been looking forward to this season and I would watch it on another channel.
it is an awesome show. very disappointed it is not being renewed.
What is wrong with tv people. They take off Dallas, Signed sealed and delivered, pan am, missing, and any other descent show and leave on CSI from everywhere and reality tv-stupid people watching people be stupid. Yes, I would watch it somewhere else.
I would definitely watch Dallas-my all time favorite t.v. series-!
Dallas is my favorite show. Please don’t cancel it. Please bring it back. Really the best show on TV. It needs to be back on. Everyone I know loves this show.
Can’t you figure it out? We want Dallas back. C’mon don’t be like this. There is fan support like no other show. Bring it back, PLEASE!
Please bring Dallas Back !!! This is my favorite show !! I’m just sick that season 4 has been cancelled . What is wrong with TNT!!!! This is a huge mistake! Get rid of “reality tv” and bring Dallas back! I wishCBS or another network would take Dallas.
Please bring it back!!!! Dallas is the best ever! I don’t watch much tv but this by far my favorite ! I have watched it since the beginning !
How rude to leave it like this? I guess my age doesn’t matter to then, nice to know. You would think they could figure out better commercials targeting a specific age group to keep it live for a final season.
Yes I would watch it on another station!
