Time has run out for CBS’ science-based drama. Based on a British series of the same name, the network has cancelled Eleventh Hour after 18 episodes.
Eleventh Hour revolves around a team of scientists and FBI agents who work to solve strange crimes that involve science and possible paranormal activity. The drama stars Rufus Sewell, Marley Shelton, and Omar B. Miller.
Debuting on October 9, 2008, the show started out with an audience of 11.37 million viewers and a 3.2/9 rating/share of the 18-49 demographic. The season ended up averaging about 12 million. While that looks fine on its own, the series consistently lost a large percentage of its CSI lead-in.
The show’s been “on the bubble” for awhile and now, the network has decided to cancel it. All of the show’s episodes have aired and there’s been no word on a DVD release.

I am thoroughly disappointed in the cancellation of Eleventh Hour. I was amazed by the scientific facts the show presented us with. Also, the show gave us a new look on death and detective shows. I wish they would reconsider showing Eleventh Hour. As for “Reality Shows” go I think they are pointless. They have nothing to do with actual reality. They should be canceled! CSI:Crime Scene Investigation also has made me upset. I was a huge fan of Gil Grissom. I have no problem with Laurence Fishburn, but they should have found a way to combine the two characters.… Read more »
all networks have no balls !!!!!!!
It never fails, as soon as you find something worth watching they cancel it! I came on this site to find out when the new season starts. I really liked this show and I can’t believe they cancelled it. Oh well, there’s always something on another channel if they don’t want me as a viewer. But what do I know… I’m just one of 12 million viewers that watched this show faithfully, I’m sure the network knows what it is doing………..
Obviously everyone here really loved Eleventh Hour including me. I never missed one episode and I was hooked after the very first one. CBS would’ve lost me completely as a viewer over this if I wasn’t so shamelessly addicted to all three CSI’s. I really hope they wake up and decide to bring Eleventh Hour back. It was a top notch show and I really miss it.
cbs sucks pore decision making.what comes around goes around.bring woat back.11th hour was great too.what are you thinking or are you even thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to join my voice with those of the disappointed. Fringe was an intelligent, provocative and thoughtful addition to the usual repetitive, mindless blah on TV. I will miss it and hope for its return. I looked forward to the unexpected twists and turns of the story – I’m down to 3 programs to watch now. Boo!
I couldn’t agree more; between the idiotic reality shows and the inane comedy (can you even call it comedy?) shows, CBS can’t find (since they “borrowed” EH from the BBC) nor recognize intelligence or sophistication. Given the drastic changes undermining CSI, they may find they’ve lost that program as well while they threw out Eleventh Hour, a show they should have nurtured. I’ll go with the stylish Burn Notice and other cable shows reminiscent of the programs I used to be able to expect on network TV.
I really liked Eleventh Hour, and The Unit. I continually find myself having to revert to The USA network, or SyFy etc. to find something worth warching. Reality Shows suck. I cannot stomach watching them, so continue to take off the shows worth watching, and you will continue to loose your audience.
This stinks. The 11th hour and CSI is all cbs has going for them in my opinion and CSI is getting kinda repetative and boring. I mean great job bringin Sarah back but other then that real repetative. I was really looking forward to a new season of The 11th hour this year and so was my husband we would skip Family Guy to watch it every Thursday. Well Cbs you are on the chopping block anyway as a t.v. station I hear. It makes me wonder why. Maybe cuz all you want to show is reality shows and noone… Read more »
I am very upset with CBS. I watched the eleventh hour faithfully. Im so sad! They better put out a DVD fast!!!
This is so incrediably sad, 11th Hour was a show that my teens and I regularly came together to watch. We would all right down a solution after the presented the problem and at the end of the night some might be right or none were but we were engaged together and having a lot of fun. Booo to CBS! Survivor? CBS will not survive much longer if they continue to cancell shows that brings families together for some special time. I haven’t been this disapointed about a show cancelling since 7th Heaven and that ran for another 7 years… Read more »
Shame…I wondered why I wasn’t watching CBS much anymore…Reality Shows Suck…I really liked Eleventh Hour…I never missed an episode. Oh Well, I’ve got lots of channels I can watch besides CBS.
Once again CBS has shown no patience w/ a show. They have done this in the past w/ great shows such as “3lbs” and “Brooklyn South”. I guess they are more concerned w/ showing stupid , mindless sit-coms than an intelligentally written drama. Yet another reason to just stick w/ cable and Foxnews in the evening.
Reality shows are dumb bring back The Unit and The Eleventh Hour both are WAY better than reality shows
With the cancellation of the unit and eleventh hour I have no reason to watch cbs so I won’t I will stick to the cable movies and other shows and skip all the stupid mind numbing assinine reality shows. Let me know when you at cbs decide to pull your heads out of your fourth point of contact and resume intelligent, suspenseful, action packed show and I’ll come back.
We don’t need any more childish, adolescent, mindless comedy show either.
