Time has run out for CBS’ science-based drama. Based on a British series of the same name, the network has cancelled Eleventh Hour after 18 episodes.
Eleventh Hour revolves around a team of scientists and FBI agents who work to solve strange crimes that involve science and possible paranormal activity. The drama stars Rufus Sewell, Marley Shelton, and Omar B. Miller.
Debuting on October 9, 2008, the show started out with an audience of 11.37 million viewers and a 3.2/9 rating/share of the 18-49 demographic. The season ended up averaging about 12 million. While that looks fine on its own, the series consistently lost a large percentage of its CSI lead-in.
The show’s been “on the bubble” for awhile and now, the network has decided to cancel it. All of the show’s episodes have aired and there’s been no word on a DVD release.

Eleventh Hour was a very good show that didn’t deserve to get cancelled! Shame on you CBS!
EH was a consistently good show, and 12M viewers is a good level, hopefully another network will decide to invest in the show and allow it to continue.
All Eleventh Hour lovers, please come check out the Campaign to get it back on the air. We have made a lot of progress, and just re-organized to make everything much simpler. If you haven’t already, take a look. If you have, come and take another look. You will like what you see!

Somebody at CBS needs to have their head checked. EH was a great program. I looked forward to it each week. It was up there with NCIS and all the CSI shows. I say get rid of who ever cancelled it and bring EH back this fall.
This was a GREAT show. What is the matter – is it because he used his brain? My husband and I were looking forward to more. Stop cancelling the good shows!
If network TV is to survive, they will have to keep shows like eleventh hour, cane, etc. on the air. Reality tv is cheap to produce and definitely mindless, but sooner or later the sponsors are going to suffer. CBS was very smart to keep the CSI franchise, but they would do well to expand well written and acted shows. I know everything is the “bottom” line, but if you produce quality shows, CBS may be surprised to find their bottom line expand by leaps and bounds.
UNBELIEVABLE!!! I fully agree with Kristy. Everytime I get into a good show, they cancel it. This is the third really good show in 3 years they’ve cancelled. I also agree with Kristy that they don’t advertise any of these shows and they don’t leave them on the air long enough to catch on. How can they expect to get ratings when no one even knows about it. No wonder cable does so well. We don’t have a choice anymore! There’s nothing worth watching on the regular stations. This really ticks me off! Oh, one last thing…Rupert, it wasn’t you.… Read more »
Kristy, come to the EH Campaign site. Together, we will ALL get it back on the air!

I can’t believe this show is going to be cancelled!! My family and I have watched all the episodes. I just found out that it was going to be cancelled. If I had to work, my family would always make sure it was taped for me. It seems as if most of my favorite shows are being cancelled left and right. I didn’t even realize this show was going to be next until I stumbled onto this site. I was trying to find out more about Medium, and I came across this. I can’t believe this. I agree with the… Read more »

Please leave the good shows on. For once no scenes that are offensive but are entertaining. This is a mistake!
I thought this show was very entertaining, I liked the whole science aspect — it wasn’t too CSI-ish — with 3 of those shows on the air this one should have been given more chance to thrive. I am not slamming the CSI shows, I like them too but I thought this show was clever in how it investigated health issues and crime which the CSI shows rarely touch on. It makes you think CBS just thinks that they’ve got too many science/police dramas on deck – maybe a different network could scoop up this great show!!
Eleventh Hour is my favorite show and I’m so upset that it has been given the ax! This was an intelligent, interesting, and fun show (something that we very rarely see in television) and to cancel it without fully giving it a chance to thrive is ridiculous. It never received the promotion that it deserved. The network didn’t even give most people a chance to find it, but yet ‘The Mentalist’ ‘s advertisements have been shoved down our throats over and over. What a silly show that is compared to EH! Please, somebody somewhere have some sense and bring EH… Read more »
So disappointed. One of the best shows ever. Remember when networks gave shows time to grow and gain audiences?
