Five years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life and left town with a big secret. Now he’s back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and hoping for a chance at redemption.

“It’s pretty remarkable to see a new series resonate like this with both broadcast and streaming audiences right out of the gate,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “FIRE COUNTRY has so many appealing entry points for the audience. It combines high-stakes action with small town charm, mystery and romance, and a family franchise at its core. We’re blessed to have an incredible team in front of and behind the camera led by amazing producers and writers and an exceptionally talented cast.”
FIRE COUNTRY stars Max Thieriot (SEAL TEAM) as Bode Donovan, a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining a prison release firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates are partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish massive, unpredictable wildfires across the region. It’s a high-risk, high-reward assignment, and the heat is turned up when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, where he was once a golden all-American son – until his troubles began. Five years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life, leaving town with a big secret. Now he’s back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and the audacity to believe in a chance for redemption with Cal Fire.
The new series has also been in high demand with international buyers and is currently distributed in nearly 100 countries around the world by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
FIRE COUNTRY also stars Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway and Jules Latimer. Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, Tia Napolitano, Max Thieriot, Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed are executive producers. The series is produced by CBS Studios.

What do you think? Have you enjoyed watching the Fire Country TV series on CBS? Are you happy to hear that the show’s been renewed for a second season? Were you concerned that it might be cancelled?
I love the show. It shows the dangers and bravery of firefighters and also brings in family struggles and closeness. I hope it continues many seasons.
My family loves this show! Hope it’s around for a long time!
Very nice, I like this show. I just hope they talk / do a little more about fires or problems specific for firerifighters in those parts of the country. Just like in first episodes.
Fire country is nothing but some cry baby whining melional drama about all their problems. Make no mistake the guy from seal team cannot act at all. It could of been fair but the writers or writer must still believe we all enjoy this childishly stupid dialog. The real firefighters must be getting a good laugh at this.
I love watching Fire Country I watch it every Friday. I am glad it’s back on.
Love it & very happy it got renewed for an other season. I hope it keeps getting renewed for many more seasons.
It’d be a disaster if Max’s new series didn’t get renewed because they’ve killed him off on Seal Team.
Let’s hope he takes a Taylor Sheridan stance and becomes prolific in his creativity.
Many shows have stagnated but continue to be renewed.
Not sure if Fire Country has the legs to sustain a third season.
Television is much the same in its storytelling.
I can see beyond the cast and into the psyche of the script.
If it doesn’t sound correct, I am gone.
Glad to have FIRE COUNTRY renewed for season two. The episode on 1/6/23 was excellent.
