Last night, the CW aired a brand new show, Life Unexpected, after having aired repeats of other programming for more than a month. So, how did it do? Did anyone remember to watch?
Life Unexpected is centered around a teenager named Lux (Brittany Robertson) who’s spent most of her life bouncing from one foster home to another. She decides to get emancipated and ends up meeting her biological family. The series also stars Shiri Appleby, Kristoffer Polaha, Kerr Smith, Reggie Austin, and Austin Basis.
Last night’s premiere attracted a small 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.74 million viewers. That put the show in fifth place for the timeslot.

While that doesn’t sound very good, it’s the largest total audience that the CW network has had for that timeslot in a year. The series also built considerably from its One Tree Hill lead-in.
In addition, Life Unexpected grew or maintained its audience in various areas throughout the hour, meaning that most didn’t get tired of it and tune out. The big question of course will be if viewers return for a second look next week.

I really love this show. I heard it is being cancelled. I hope you reconsider what show you cancel. Life Unexpected I believe is an unexpected HIT. It does have HEART.

I don’t watch One Tree Hill (oit’s become a little too crazy) but I love this show! I needed something to add to my evenings, and maybe this wil bring me back to watching the CW instead of avoiding it like the plague, because they like to cancel shows on a whim (ie- Reaper, Everwood, etc.)

So far so good. I was glad to some CW actors from past shows. I hope they don’t get to typical. Keep it……for now.

Liked the show!! Its about time we had something like this instead of gun wielding heroes, hospital dramas, glitzy scenarios where actors give plastic, stoic expressions. This show has heart!!
This is hands down the best new show I have seen in a very long time. I am a TV junkie who watches everything. the whole cast was great however Cate just sent my heart into overdrive. I laughed and cried and can’t wait for the next episode.

She did everything to be bash, but she is so adorable you don’t care.
I had read pretty good things about it but I didn’t want to watch it, anyway. I really have no patience on tv and I can’t be one hour in front of a screen. Surprisingly, I really liked it!! Much more than I had thought and remained until the end!!!

What a great premise! The seriousness and the comedy that could come out of such a situation. The characters are a joy! What a gutsy little teen…I like her!!! Give the parents a chance to go with the flow…
Just watched this show to give it a shot, and end up really enjoying it! I’ve got a new regular show to look forward to!
