Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

Loved loved this show,one of the best sorry to see it end like that. if you were going to end after season one you should have ended it on a hi.
. . . At least i know not to bother with this … ep 2 airing atm . WAS promising. Cant freakin wait to cancel cable here! and try explain because of good shows that cancel and crap (Glee, Mother, and now TBBT) keep on and on – argh! well at least i wont waste time on this show. Sad.

This is Ridicules!!! How do You Cancel a show with So many Great Actors especially Ashley Judd, with such a great plot and on such a high note? It doesn’t even make sense!
Really disappointed, would have liked to see allot more, it was definitely worth more than just one Season, Three or Four at least!
This might sound Stupid, but isn’t there another channel that can pick it up?

REALLY OF ALL THE shows on tv you keep a stupid show like resurrection on when this series could have been a wonderful entertaining exciting and thriller for a few seasons.some really idiodic comedies too that are kept on the air.Blame your pr not the viewers.

So unfair to have Becca taken like this and not show us what happens… :-/ The last series this happened to from ABC which i followed was Kyle XY for 43 episodes!!!!, and it ended in season 3 with numerous unanswered questions :-S Like it literally drives me insane when they end something like this :-S 🙁 We kinda waste our time watching their unfinished crap! I really liked this show and am really disappointed that its over. I don’t see how it ended with closure if she was Taken like her son.. i even watched every episode the night it came on instead of dvring it or waiting for a few episodes. . I really liked the show and am genuinely sad it’s gone. Do many idiotic shows on now a days, goes to show the “demographic” their going after

This sucks! I thought this show was awsome I been on a 10 hr binge watching it! I even got my friends into it! Come on how do u have Ashlee Jud taken away and then cancel season 2 this is lame and why many people don’t watch abc it’s always something good or that has potential u cancel. So disappointed
