Last night, NBC viewers said goodbye to the Braverman clan on the series finale of Parenthood. While the cast and crew were able to wrap up the family’s story, there is a possibility that we haven’t seen the last of the beloved family.
Executive producer Jason Katims was recently asked if he could envision revisiting Parenthood some day, possibly on a different platform. He said, “Yes, absolutely. Everyone who is doing the show — our writers, our actors, our directors, our producers — we all love doing the show. Everyone would want to do more. There is no one who is angling to get out of doing this thing.”
Katims continued, “I personally would be interested in seeing what happens a few years down the road. I want to know what happens to these people, these characters. If you asked me three years ago, I would say it’s not going to happen. But now there are so many ways of doing things that it’s possible. I would very much be open to that.”
What do you think? Would you like to see the Bravermans return in a new Parenthood project? Or, are you satisfied with the series finale?
Hopefully another Network will pick it up, considering the show never had outstanding numbers it was as steady as they come, and apparently good enough to not get cut. I wish they would have considered this prior to killing of Zeek though. Every year Networks roll out awful Pilots (‘The Slap’ looks to add to that long line if you ask me). Why not hold on to a show that does good at 10pm on a weekday.

LOVE LOVE LOOOVE this show!! the Braverman’s are my FAMILY and my heart is so sad to see this show over!! I think it would be perfect to pick it up where it left off about 3 years down the road. This show was just perfect and my family looked forward to watching it every week! We laughed and cried with these people… it was REAL! I could never get tired of this show… keep it coming!!!!
This show was such a great family to watch and so real. Why let it go? Bring it back…The acting and writing was fantastic…Please don’t let this talent go…
Gee guys. Ever consider using a ‘SPOILER’ warning at the top of post with spoilers. I wanted to see what others thought but haven’t watched this season yet. I don’t want to stop anyone from discussing anything. I just would like to avoid post with spoilers until I have watched it.
This great show should never have been cancelled! I would love to see it back as a regular series.
I would be happier if they’d just come back next year and pick up where they left off, three years in the future. I have no sense that every story has been told, especially since Amber is married to Jason Street (who magically can walk again).
HAHAHA! Amber has a thing for Dillion High Panthers

I fell in love with this family 6 yrs. ago. I loved how you showed a family living with a child with Aspergers. A family living with cancer. You touched on every possible thing most family’s live with in our troubled world. You did an amazing job on the finally. I was so impressed and sad that the Braverman family was leaving but yet happy to see everyone playing baseball and the end when Max picked up the bat and ball and walked behind everyone as they all walked away. I love your work Jason Katim and hope to see… Read more »
Max deserves a lot more credit than he gets.
WE LOVED THIS SHOW AND DID NOT WANT IT CANCELLED. The finale was great, except for having Zeek die. Not interested in a reunion show becasue of that. I know death is a fact of life…but still don’t think a reunion show is necessary now.
Bring it back another season please. 10 seasons would be awesome.
That would have been fine if they haven’t killed Zeak or fort harder to keep it on or took the show 2 another network.
Oh yes, by all means-that is/was absolutely the best show on TV. PLEASE, PLEASE let us see more and more of them.
I would be hard pressed to offer an unbiased opinion … I did not want this most wonderful series to be cancelled in the first place! That said, YES, a reunion or (better still) frequent updates would be welcomed at our house.
Yes, would love to see more! This is one of the best wholesome family shows on tv today. I always looked forward to watching it every week!
I would love to see a reunion. I love the Braverman family, they are as close to a real family
as possible they are the best,Parenthood was the best show on television. A real family show.
