The show about people returning from the dead — is now dead itself. ABC has cancelled their Resurrection TV series after two seasons on the air.
On Resurrection, a small town in Missouri is turned upside down when long-dead loved ones return after 30 years. The cast includes Omar Epps, Frances Fisher, Matt Craven, Devin Kelley, Mark Hildreth, Samaire Armstrong, Sam Hazeldine, Landon Gimenez, and Kurtwood Smith.
The series debuted well but the ratings declined over the course of its first season — averaging a 2.52 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.32 million viewers. The network brought it back anyway and the second season debut was down by more than 40% when compared to the series debut.
By the end of the second season, Resurrection’s second year ratings average was at a 1.26 rating in the demo with 4.67 million — a season-to-season decline of 50%.
The last episode aired on January 25th and sadly didn’t offer viewers a resolution to the story.

Soooooooooo upset! Really?? 4.67 million people isn’t enough?! Why even watch a show when your opinion doesn’t matter! I’very been searching & waiting for nothing. The writing of the second season could’ve been a bit better, but viewers deserve a finale.
All these tv networks should be made to make a final ending when they scrap a show. Too many times you start watching a serries and they dont renew it and leave it up in the air without closure. At least with firefly they made serinity. All serries should at least have a end before they start them. Too many unanswered questions to the story line.

Same happened to us. I was waiting for this show to start new season. I have it in scheduled to record in my VCR. So I decided to look for info about and it was a shock when I read about it was cancelled. They should bring it back. That kid Jacob was the best!
Whaaaat? That was one of the only shows i looked forward to watching. Reality shows suck!

No wonder ABC is down in ratings , you people don’t know the American public! Hopefully an executive at a smarter station will pick up Resurrection and realize it’s about what show you place your programming against! Great show too good for ABC anyway!
I, Like my wife Tana, am also very disappointed to hear that Resurrection was cancelled. There are only a few shows that we enjoy watching TOGETHER (she hates football, shows about anient aliens, Tosh.O… And most of my other viewing pleasures… ABC, you you tryna ruin my marriage? Resurrection was quality time for us.
