As expected, there was a good amount of drop off between weeks one and two. Episode two drew a 2.7 rating in the demo with 8.54 million, a loss of 18%. Hopefully this will be the end of the erosion but my gut is that it isn’t. CSI easily won the timeslot this time around.
Season average: 3.0 demo with 9.28 million.
Episode 01-01: Wednesday, 9/21/11
It was a positive debut for Revenge with a 3.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.02 million viewers. That was good enough for the drama to win its timeslot. One the downside however, the series lost a lot of viewers between the start and finish of the hour. It went from a 3.8 in the demo (thanks to Modern Family) and ended with a 3.0. That’s a sign that those people who switched it off mid-way won’t be back next week.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Revenge TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

I loved it! You had to get half way through the first one to want to see more…after that it was great!
keep it going, well casted, scenic eye-candy, how far will emily get, keeps me hooked too!
Love the show..can”t wait for the next episodes to see how it all unfolds…give the show a chance to make its mark and for people who may not have seen it yet to start watching and get hooked like the rest of us…
I love ~ love Revenge!!! Please don’t cancel the show. I know rating count, however; some people dvr the show and watch it later. Revenge reminds me of the the HBO Series “Damages;” which is no longer. I like the way Emily is getting her revenge on those who caused her pain. Looking forward to Episode 3.
I LOVE Revenge – it is my favorite new show!!!!!
I was one of the people who turned it off midway through the first show, but not because it wasn’t good, I was just distracted so much that I couldn’t keep up with what was happening. I later watched it “On Demand” and fell in love with it.
I hope it is on for a long time, it is a winner. I am so sick of all the new shows that have super powers and unrealistic storylines. Thank goodness we have this wonderful new show to watch.
I was not to keen on watching REVENGE cause I thought it was really going to suck but after the 1st show I was hooked and after the 2nd I really want it to stay if it has to be canceled please give it closure…. sometimes the time do come to end a series and it is all well and good but after investing a lot of hours to watch a show we hate for it to be canceled and we are left wondering how it would have ended so if a show has to be canceled PLEASE give us… Read more »

I love it. I love the suspense. Reminds me of Harper’s Island that was on a couple of years ago. Keeps my attention. Please keep it on tv.
I love it. It’s different-good characters and well acted. It’s just on a little late-so I record it.
Awesome series so far …. great cast – keep it coming!
I love it…we need to give it chance to get deeper in the revenge story…..
Please keep the show, I downloaded both episodes n loved it. I can’t always watch the shows at the times the are on so I have to watch it when I can. So stupid about ratings sometimes people can’t always be home to watch a show when it’s on, have them for downloads to on website n let that count too!
I hope Revenge stays, I really enjoy it.
