The original Roswell ran on The WB and UPN between 1999 and 2002, and was something of a cult-classic for the former television networks. The source material, the Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz, has captured imaginations for a couple of decades, and now has inspired another series, the Roswell, New Mexico TV show. Is it too out-of-this-world to succeed in something as mundane as the Nielsen ratings? Will Roswell, New Mexico be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A CW supernatural, science-fiction drama, Roswell, New Mexico stars Jeanine Mason, Nathan Dean Parsons, Lily Cowles, Michael Vlamis, Michael Trevino, Tyler Blackburn, Heather Hemmens, Trevor St. John, and Karan Oberoi. This series centers on Liz Ortecho (Mason), who’s back in town after a decade away. After reconnecting with her old crush, Roswell PD Officer Max Evans (Parsons), she learns he, his sister Isobel (Cowles) and their friend, Michael (Vlamis), are aliens. Now Liz has to keep this secret from everyone she knows, including her old high school boyfriend, Dr. Kyle Valenti (Trevino), and her best friend, Maria De Luca (Hemmens). Meanwhile, the politics of hatred, fear, and division threaten to expose them all and risk everyone’s lives.

Love the show!!! Roswell New Mexico should definitely be given a second season. It’s a great storyline and intriguing with a touch romance as well. It is one of the best shows that is airing at the moment. I Enjoy it thoroughly and I hope CW does not cancel it.

Love old roswell. Love the new one. People u can’t go by the first roswell, this is a reboot I like that they went 10 years later. It takes time to introduce new storylines and new characters. I love what your doing. Please don’t cancel season 2, give it a good chance before throwing in the towel. So far doing good series. I see things that should be changed and I would like to see Maria and Michael together. One can hope! Hope u don’t drag ot mac and liz for too long, they can have problems along the way… Read more »

TOO political!! I get enough of politics in my life, I don’t need, or want any in my entertainment.
I have to agree – cancel it. The show is terrible. I am not even sure what they are trying to accomplish other than pushing political agendas. The story is all over the place and they are just torturing the characters. How many more horrible things can happen? I don’t want to watch that. It is not pleasurable.
And it really could be any soap opera without any aliens. That just seems to be an afterthought. So far it has been more about what happened to a character who is dead than the ones who are alive.

Season 2 PLEASE!!!! It’s fresh and new and captivating.
Been part of the original Roswell fan club petitioning for the return of the show for many many years The network used the fan base to leverage investors to produce a show about Political divide, pushing polorizing political agendas, rather then returning the original show as expected by the fans. The majority of the original Fanbase are no longer watching.
I was so excited to see this was going to be on. Alas I will not be watching. It’s horrible.
Is the CW THAT desperate now they’re rebooting old WB shows? Charmed, Roswell, they’re best left in the past!
Really liked the original series and was looking forward to this. Unfortunately this is just another cookie cutter series with too much politics, political correctness, and one point of view if they really have to go there. My biggest disappointment is that this show will ruin any chance at an actual Roswell reboot when it fails.
I was happy to see this was being rebooted however stopped watching about halfway through ep1 there is already too much heavy-handed politics on TV no need to add another.

Terrible! Sometimes it’s nice to be able to watch a show without polical views. The portrail of racisim was rediculous and insulting. The actors have no chemistry and can’t act. What a disapointment.
