CBS is heading to space soon. PopGoesTheNews reports the network’s new Star Trek series will begin filming in Toronto this fall. Studio space has reportedly been booked beginning in September.
The new series comes from executive producer Bryan Fuller, Alex Kurtzman, and Rod Roddenberry, son of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry.
Though little has been revealed about the new show, it will exist within the canon of other Star Trek series. Additionally, the reboot will be the first original show to be launched exclusively on CBS’s streaming service, All Access. It is expected to be released in early 2017.
What do you think? Are you a Star Trek fan? What do you expect from the new series?
Being they never showed the final episode of the jeffersons which was awful to the dedicated can u put something together u do everything else we really feel u owe us that much that was a mean thing to do to them may the rip rose looney
I like most Scifi shows. I refuse to pay money for a show that should be freely broadcast. This is not a good trend.
How wonderful that this network does not get enough money from sponsors and feels that the best way to get more is from the viewers. I will not be paying to see a show that should be freely broadcast. Shame on you CBS!
New series will not work without Spock!
Son of Spock? Spock Jr.?
(Son of Leonard Nemoy? Leonard Nemoy Jr.?) 🙂
