The CW is starting over on Monday nights. They’ve cancelled both Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People after one season apiece.
On The Tomorrow People, a teenager (Robbie Amell) discovers that he has paranormal abilities. He also learns that others like him have gone into hiding because they’re being hunted by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. The rest of the cast includes Luke Mitchell, Peyton List, Aaron Yoo, Mark Pellegrino, and Madeleine Mantock.
The drama debuted back in October and aired on Wednesday nights, paired with the network’s popular Arrow series. It performed well in the beginning but the ratings fell over the course of the season, dropping as low as a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.24 million viewers.
The series moved to Monday nights and lost even more viewers. In last April, The Tomorrow People hit a series low, drawing just 760,000 viewers.
The season (now series) finale, which aired this week, left plenty of story opportunities for a second season but it won’t be happening.

I recently started watching The Tomorrow People on Netflix. I love the series and am very disappointed to find out it was cancelled. Who is the dumb ass cancelling the best shows? I don’t watch “regular on air TV” anymore because of all the stupid commercial and bad news. Not to mention I live in a rural area with barely a signal, it’s like satellite too in the fact that when there is rain..there is no signal. i really think they shouldnt had cancelled neither i have watched both tv shows and both of them was the best like i dont even watch tv shows like that but when i found star crossed and the tomorrow people i loved it tomorrow people was one of the best tv shows i ever seen
I think the series had and still has great potential. That ratings fell does not mean the series could not have been successful. Look at Star Trek. Hopefully someone will take it over and run with it. It could be done.

Nobody watches TV anymore it’s all Netflix
Those ratings were no reason to cancel the show like that. Their is evidence of shows that personally aren’t as good, but managed to go from at least 1.30 million viewers to 260 thousand in the first season. Then somehow skyrocket from around 680 thousand viewers to just above 2.40 million in the beginning of the second season. I think that this show was a great example of scientific Discovery and it hooked me from the beginning. I can’t believe they canceled this show!!!!! one of my favorite plots I’ve watched so far.

I’m very disappointed that There will be not be a season two of The Tomorrow People!!! Why end it that way for viewers expecting to get to season two!!! This was one of the best shows on tv!! I demand that you bring season two back!!!!!!! I’m pretty sure I speak for all of us who love that show! WE WANT IT BACK!!!!!!!
