Tyrant was cancelled after just three seasons on FX, and the reasons behind the shocking cancellation have now been revealed. Bert Salke, the FOX 21 President, spoke about those reasons with The Hollywood Reporter.
Salke said the following:
“We knew after the second year and were really aware that for a show we felt so strongly about — and the fan base felt so strongly about — that the numbers weren’t commensurate with the base for the show. Nobody was more aware than the FX people and John wanted to get in front of it. Chris, Howard and the studio went in with very open eyes and hoping for the best. We were getting behind it the same way we do every year and preparing for any number of outcomes. There were no surprises.”
There is hope that the series will return. Tyrant is being actively shopped to streaming services. It could land on Netflix or Hulu.

Yes I definitely want to watch further… Great story telling wonderful characters. This is a show a person can really binge watch and maybe just maybe begin to understsand the middle east monsters that have hated Westerners all their lives.. THE SHOW NEVER GOT POLITICAL !!!! But it did show how sad and tragic and just how deep the hate on all sides go… point they cant even get along with each other never mind form a country. Memo: “Good people do Bad things”
This did not end good. There is still more story to tell. Definitely a love story between Bassam and his final love, his new found son and his son who was shot and then we have the ugly wife. So much to still tell. Please bring this fantastic story back.

I still don’t know up to now why every movie i like is cancelled… I can watch and rewatch Tyrant and still feel the same. It was nice with some nice characters

Loved everything about this show! So relevant today and the cast was excellent. SO disappointed when it wasn’t renewed.
A fantastic series, so feasible and realistic. The settings are good, the acting first class and the suspense is always evident. My only complaint is that it gives me late nights as I always have to watch one more.
We sooo need a continuation of new seasons. Season 4 us please. I did not know what I was missing! Bring back the movie series Tyrant! Please and thank you.
