Falling Skies: Season Four Ratings

Falling Skies: TNT TV showAiring on TNT, Falling Skies has been one of the cable channel’s top-rated shows. However, the ratings have been dropping each year. Will they continue to fall or will they start to rebound? Will this series be renewed for a fifth season or, will it be cancelled instead? We’ll have to wait and see.

On Falling Skies, the resistance continues to struggle for survival in the wake of a catastrophic alien invasion. The cast includes Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Colin Cunningham, Connor Jessup, Maxim Knight, Sarah Sanguin Carter, Mpho Koaho, and Seychelle Gabriel.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

7/18 update: Falling Skies has been renewed for a fifth and final season.

Final season averages: 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.72 million total viewers.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

For comparisons: Season three of Falling Skies averaged a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.53 million viewers.

What do you think? Do you like the Falling Skies series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?

I love this show and Noah Wiley. I have been watching from the begining and haven’t missed an episode. With that said, I am glad next season will be it’s last. I want it to go out on top and on it’s own terms. I am looking forward to celebrating the victory of the 2nd Mass. They all deserve a much needed rest.

I THINK THE SHOW SHOULD STAY ON FOR TWO OR THREE MORE YEARS OR MORE. I THINK IT IS A GREAT
SHOW IF YOU ASK ME. LEAVE THE SHOW ON

The show has been renewed for a fifth and final season. All loose ends will be tied up and brought to a successful conclusion.

Unimaginative. Extremely watered down with tedious filler segments. Sloppy and awkwardly shot action scenes, laughable at times, and not in a good way . Stealing, and even worse, badly implementing other shows ideas. Abysmal, mostly non existent character progression. Badly written characters, making conflicting decisions and breaking continuity. Absence of a robust world, breaking established concepts at the drop of a hat. I could name even more if I dare to watch it again.

Just let this abomination die already.

ABOMINATION? HARDLY! True, the action was getting tedious with all the depressing backgrounds and character stagnation, but the last few episodes made up for it in MY opinion. It is recovering and I am looking forward to seeing the Espheni “get theirs” in the fifth and concluding season.
That means putting that little b*tch Lexi to sleep. I LOVE seeing Mira Sorvino again, a real beauty! Time to see more of the good aliens duke it out with the bad aliens and Pope finally get a haircut, a shave and an attitude adjustment. Maggie needs to find true love, but with who – Hal or his younger brother? BRING ON SEASON 5!!!

I guess you think the end of the world will have 5-star hotels and showers and pretty lights on trees. I think Falling Skies has taken a huge risk in showing us what a REAL antagonistic alien species invades our world. It is dark and it is dirty. This show hasn’t been consistent in it’s storyline, I have to admit that, but it has always managed to find its way and get back on track. It’s no Walking Dead, but it IS wonderful scifi, despite its faults. I say YAY to TNT for at least trying to bring us decent sci fi in an era of dumb comedies, politically correct programming that bores me to tears, super heroes at every turn (not to mention Defiance. Talk about a show that is all over the place! Falling Skies is layers above that one!) and soap operas that really should be shown in the middle of the night on the pay channel – Satisfaction?? Masters of Sex being touted as great TV – yeah, if you watch porn, I suppose you would like MOS!) and on and on!. It gets hard find shows that are smart AND not titillating. The Last Ship and Falling Skies are not my idea of great sci fi, but in a desert of no water, I’ll take water with a little dirt but still healthy any day! JMHO

I’m GLAD Falling Skies will be renewed and concluded in Season 5!!! It was getting tedious at first, seeing nothing but ruined and burned-out backgrounds, but the story line has been getting better by the week! Great idea to let the series conclude and be resolved (as long as the Espheni get their A$$E$ kicked off the planet!!)

I just learned of this show by seeing it on the wall at Family Video and got it because I saw Steven Spielberg’s name. It only took me 4 days to get through season 1 & 2 and I love it! I’m going to pick up season 3 today. I’ll probably buy season 4 online somewhere. If it gets cancelled I hope they close it well and don’t just leave us hanging. I love ben’s character and am sad Red Eye died. I wonder if ratings count online viewings like Netflix and Vudu as well? That’s how I watch everything almost.

@David H. Davis

I agree, the “I am woman here me roar.” they turned Ann into is really annoying and her Bossiness(yeah I said it) is really annoying, like I’m supposed to believe that Anthony(an ex-cop) would take lip and attitude.

Steve Spielberg’s name on this show gives it instant credibility to me. I’m an avid watcher , every episode I’ve seen so far. The time slot is wrong and the writing is going down that same “heroine’ road that sank “Revolution”. If that road continues, I’ll be tuning out just like I did that J.J Abrams debacle.
