What’s This TV Show About?
A dating reality TV series on the ABC television network, The Bachelor is hosted by Chris Harrison. Season 22 features 36-year-old race car driver, Arie Luyendyk Jr., as he meets, courts, and weeds out 29 potential “soul mates” in his quest for “true love.” Luyendyk was previously a runner-up suitor in the eighth season of The Bachelorette, during the summer of 2012, but while Emily Maynard selected Jef Holm, that couple reportedly broke up before the year was out. Whether or not Arie will cross the finish line smelling like a rose this time out, remains to be seen.
Season 22 Ratings
The 22nd season of The Bachelor averaged a 1.71 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.33 million viewers. Compared to season 21, that’s down by 26% and 13%, respectively. Find out how The Bachelor stacks up against other ABC TV shows.
Telly’s Take
Will ABC cancel or renew The Bachelor for season 23? This remains one of the network’s best unscripted performers, so I don’t think there’s a real danger of a ratings-based cancellation. For the sake of fans, I hope there aren’t any problems like the ones which afflicted the fourth season of the spin-off, Bachelor In Paradise. I will update this page with breaking developments. Altho i sometimes watch, the women are ridiculous. crying and acting like preschoolers. I would like to see one with more mature men and women.
No way am I watching. Sick of this show. Never liked or trusted Ari either. Getting to get old this show.
