NBC rounded out their Monday night schedule with a new cop series, Chase. Police shows have performed very well for the networks for years but how did this one perform? Is it a keeper or will it be quickly cancelled?
Chase follows US Marshall Annie Frost (Kelli Giddish) as she heads up the Houston Enforcement & Apprehension Task Force. Annie and her team (played by Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Rose Rollins, and Jesse Metcalfe) hunt down America’s most dangerous fugitives.

The premiere garnered a disappointing 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.3 million viewers. That put Chase in third (last) place in both categories. It lost a significant number of viewers from lead-in The Event — 36% of the demo and 33% of total viewers. It also lost about 15% of viewers in the demo between the start and finish of the episode.
While this is much better than last year’s The Jay Leno Show, this mediocre start doesn’t bode well for Chase’s future. If the ratings decline in week two, as they typically do for new shows, it could be in real trouble.
Based on this performance alone, it seems unlikely that NBC would bother ordering any episodes beyond the initial 13 installments.

I really like this show and hope it will continue. Annie can say son-of-a-b better than anyone on the planet.
Really love the show, am glad it’s back on. Disappointed that they moved it to
Wednesdays but you can’t keep me away. Doesn’t need to be cancelled, they give
crappy shows a long time and the good ones always get the boot. KEEP IT!!!!!!
Chase is great. I missed it? on the 12th some stupid game
show was on. Thank GOD for on demand. I cant wait for next weeks
episode to find out what happens to Annie. NBC would be stupid to
cancel it. But then again they did cancel Life.
Great show, like thats its based in Texas,give it a chance let us watch rest of the episodes.
I love this show and look forward to it’s return. I’ve read it’s been pushed back to the 19th now and Minute to Win It will take it’s place on the 12th. I hope they will not cancel it. I don’t understand how they expect to raise rating when they were running reruns during the first season and aired it so late in the evening. We definitely do not need any more game or so-called reality shows.
I went to watch the return of Chase and was very disappointed to find a stupid game show!!!! I’ve been searching online to find ouy if it had been cancelled. I’m glad you put your post about it being pushed. I really hope they do NOT cancel and it really is just pushed!
Please bring Chase. Ratings started slow because it started on Monday during football season. A spring/summer season will show the real power of Chase!

i really miss the chase and was wondering what happen? i actually switched from cbs to nbc programs just because of the chase. i think nbc has made a bad mood if it cancels the chase. nbc should not always look at the ratings, the chase is worth saving. maybe i could help nbc boast its ratings. recommend they get some new recruits.
I really enjoyed Chase. In fact, like others I was wondering what had happened to it. It’s a really great show and deserves another chance before being cancelled.
We look forward to watching Chase each week as a family. I have three daughters, 13, 17, 22, and they each really like the show. I like how the writers promote female equality with men and actually give Annie a tough, but senstive character. Us girls can be both! The other characters on the show are great and their intertwined relationships are positive. Story lines are suspensful and we like the way they focus on the mind of the criminal and figuring out how they think.

I really enjoyed watching Chase. I have been waiting for it to come back. Did not know what was happening with it. When we get a good action something happens to it.
