Gordon Ramsay and FOX have enjoyed a lucrative, long-term collaboration beyond the ended series, Kitchen Nightmares. His Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, and MasterChef Junior TV shows have all done well. Even the bi-annual Hotel Hell has racked up numbers higher then some of the network’s scripted series. Now the coarse-mouthed cuisinier is bringing an updated reboot of his UK series, The F Word, stateside. Can it work as a team cooking competition, rather than a food magazine series? Will The F Word be cancelled or renewed for a second season on FOX? Stay tuned.
The US version of The F Word TV show airs live on the East Coast and live-to tape on the West Coast. Not to point any fingers at Chef Ramsay, but while FOX is emphatic that the “F” stands for food, we still pray there’s a seven second delay. The F Word features foodie teams of families and friends, competing in high-stakes cook-offs. In the season finale, the two top teams will battle for a cash prize. As with the British original, the diners will be celebrities and VIPs. Ramsay will also perform cooking demonstrations and chat with culinary experts, and fans, as well.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
8/17 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like The F Word TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on FOX?
The F word show lol Family Food Fun and ****. Gordon is hilarious
When will this show get renewed we all know it will.
I love this show it has three celebrates coming in to talk or to do a funny bit. It has recorded braking stuff. It has jokes, pranks. Lots of real everyday people competing on it. It a single shot show with a great amount of cash to give out but still save the network a lot of cash compared to a different show.
I have to agree with the other posters. I love Gordon Ramsey but this show is manic and all over the place. Is it a variety show, a food competition, a late night talk show, is it anthony buordain? It’s all of these things and none of them work. Just a bad idea to begin with, even Gordon’s magnetic tv presence can’t salvage this one. I stopped watching after 3 episodes bc I found that I truly didn’t care what happened in any of the segments.
The UK version is much better and enjoyable to watch.
I torally agree about this version, it’s just all over the place. I watched one episode, I wouldn’t go through another.
This show stinks. We watched the whole series in all fairness, but will not watch it ever again.
Sorry Chef. You’ve done well with your Masterchef, Masterchef jr. and Hell’s Kitchen but this one doesn’t hold my interest – including my families. I do agree with some of my fellow viewers. It does feel way too rushed. Do try again. 🙂
Do not care for the show at all… feels rushed with wild crazy mixed content. First GR show I do not like.
I agree, I love all his shows but this one is a yawner. I have stopped watching.
Please Cancel
