CBS has been having a great season. Several of their new shows have been successful and many of their established series are still doing well. Unfortunately, that could be bad news for fans of a little show called Flashpoint.
Flashpoint follows the work of a group of highly trained police officers called the Strategic Response Unit (SRU). The series stars Enrico Colantoni, David Paetkau, Hugh Dillon, Sergio Di Zio, Michael Cram, Mark Taylor, Ruth Marshall, and Amy Jo Johnson.
The show was initially produced for Canada’s CTV and CBS picked up the rights to air season one during the writers strike. It ended up performing well for the network and that led CBS to join CTV in renewing it for seasons two and three.

Season three of Flashpoint was supposed to begin airing early this year but the network has so much successful programming that the show still hasn’t been put back on the schedule.
Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment, recently told critics at the TCA press tour that Flashpoint was now being pushed outside the regular season. That means that the cop series won’t be back until late-Spring or Summer 2010 at the earliest.
While the show has performed well during the summer months in the past, there’s no guarantee that will continue. The show will have been off the air for almost a year by the time it returns. The longer that the show is off the air, the more likely that viewers — and TV executives — will forget about it.

I discovered it in the second season and since then I have also bought both season one and two on dvd. And I’m not a kid, I’m a sixty three year old single woman.
This is my very favorite show. It is played out so well. The stories are the best. I cannot

There aren’t too many shows that draw me to the ritual of watching week after week, but this is one of them. If a TV show can have a heart and soul, this one does. I f I can’t view it live time, I’ll recording it. It is one of the BEST shows on TV. I can’t imaging you could think of taking this show off the air. PLEASE KEEP IT ON THE AIR!!!
This is the ONLY show we record if we’re not home. Don’t be a bonehead! BRING IT BACK!!!! It’s fabulous, well written with on the “edge of your seat” action!
Flashpoint is one of the best shows on TV. My husband and I look forward to Friday nights so we can watch it. It is a show that keeps you on the edge of your seat, you don’t wont to go for a snack or a potty break because it may come back on before you can get back to the TV. Please DO NOT take it off the air. One of the best shows to come along in a long time.

I am watching the Friday, 9/10/10 epsode “Jumping at Shadows” and this episode just makes me want more! Ilove this show, and this was one of thebest cop show! I Love It!
Please renew Flashpoint for Season 4. My whole family and all my friends watch every week. We are totally hooked. The best TV cop show drama in a while. It just draws you. I’ve already caught up on Seasons 1 and 2.
I think the network executives have lost their minds if they don’t return this show. Instead of just thinking money, money, money, why not return a show that people want to see..
My hubby and I love Flashpoint! Finally an action show that tells a story well without having to show a lot of blood and gutts! It must stay!!!!
If I were to have a mental melt down in public, I’d want Enrico Colantoni a.k.a. Greg Parker to talk me out of it. Yes sir ee. And Hugh Dillon, a.k.a. Ed Lane can hold his less than leathal assault rifle on the both of us. This would be a good story and we could all watch it on Friday nights and not scare the kids to death or teach them bad words. It would be worth seeing as long as the Writers from Flash Point were writing it.

Flashpoint – the BEST network program to come along in ages. Must not be taken off the air; all episodes must be aired; just back on Friday nights and not we see that PREseason football is coming on for at least the next two Fridays – CBS, we’ll be off to some other channel. mhh
