The premiere was a big improvement over what ABC had been getting in the timeslot but isn’t exactly an impressive premiere. Pan Am and The River, which will both surely be cancelled, debuted much better.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like GCB TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

I don’t care what anybody says, I think the show is entertaining. I have enjoyed each week and don’t understand what all the issue is about. I hope it stays on.
It’s great! I am a Born Again Christian and by no means am I offended. Christians deal with everything secular people do and this show portrays that. So for all those
Christians who are offended, LIGHTEN UP!!
I absolutely love this show. I’m Christian, but also have a sense of humor. It’s called “satire”, folks!
GOD I wish these people would shutup and get the sticks out of their butts period. Im openly gay I love the show I think it shows that within every religion there is hypocrisy but at the same time humor. I also love the fact that they are tackling a controversial subject such as the woman being married to a gay man and knows about it storyline.I love that they genuinely love and care about each other. I get mocked bullied condemned and harassed by the same people who are condemning this show so there is no respect for any… Read more »
Cancel can’t even watch it, bring back Pan Am or anything else!
Cancel..it is really silly, there has to be something better…can’t even get through an episode, storyline makes no sense.
I am COMPLETELY addicted to GCB! It’s an over-the-top, hysterical satire of all the Christians I knew for the first 20+ years of my life growing up as a Baptist. It’s high time someone made poked fun at such hypocrites. It’s better than Desperate Housewives and the entertainment highlight of my week!
Finally someone who actually understands and gets it.
I agree! I love it and know so many GCB’s that behave exactly like these ladies on the show.
As a Christian and a Southern woman, this show is the most classless, distasteful, blasphemous, hypocritical show that has ever been on TV. IT NEEDS TO GO! There is nothing funny about this. Everyone knows that ABC, or any other station for that matter, would never air a show called ‘Good Mormon *******’ – ‘Good Muslim *******’ – ‘Good Hindu *******’. It would never happen! ABC, you’ve stooped to an all time low.
I am also a Christian and I find the show freaking awesome! For one, the show is called GCB!!!! It does not have CHRISTIAN anywhere in the title. So get over yourself, if you really find it so classless, distasteful, blasphemous and hypocritical, then don’t freaking watch it!!! Oh and you probably find it all of those things, because you probably see some of yourself in the characters. Truth hurts, doesn’t it?!? ABC, you’re my favorite, please keep the show, I LOVE IT!!!! And I also watch it every Sunday! 🙂
Turned the channel after 10 min. Get rid of it.
Gag me!!! I turned it off after less than 5 minutes.
So I think this show is hilarious! I’m from an area in Texas like that and it cracks me up! If you can’t laugh at yourself (or your religion) every so often then you need to look at yourself because maybe your taking yourself too seriously! I’m sure GOD has a sense of humor so don’t be soo up tight and have alittle fun!
I finally found out what “GCB” stands for and I am appalled that anything with a title like that even made it to airwaves.
On the positive, it inched up in the demo for its second episode. Most shows decline after the premiere.
I absolutely love GCB!!!!!! It is my new favorite show!!!
It is simple and a waste. If you do keep it on the air, it would only be politically correct to have another show on ABC called GMB . See how well that goes over , if you dare. It amazes me how you can portray Christians in a bad light , but won’t entertain the idea of doing the same to the Muslim Religion. Btw, I’m an agnostic. Just saying !
The irony is that YOUR comment is not politically correct either. You have me thinking “What has the world come to??” Don’t you think Muslims take enough heat and prejudice in the US? But suddenly when Christians are poked fun at (in a harmless and NON offensive way) it’s extremely hurtful? Please.
thank you!
All of you being so distressed by this show are more of a joke than the things you type. Blasphemous? Really little Miss Taliban? Won’t go after Muslims – really Donna? If you paid attention to anything other than your approved reading/tv/thinking list, you would know there are TONS of outlets just for that. You are exactly the mirror image of all those in the Islamic world that want to shut anything down that criticizes their faith. You are doing the same thing with yours. So, as usual, make fun, terrorize, and judge anything you don’t approve of, but no… Read more »
