Season Three of Network’s Highest-Rated Original, Primetime Series Premieres Early 2017
STUDIO CITY, CA, August 11 – Production has begun in Toronto, ON, Canada on a two-hour, Halloween special event installment of Hallmark Channel’s highest-rated original series, “Good Witch.” Based on the wildly popular “The Good Witch” movie franchise, which is the most successful in the network’s history, the series stars Catherine Bell (“Army Wives,” “JAG”), Bailee Madison (“Northpole: Open for Christmas,” Just Go with It, Trophy Wife) and James Denton (“Desperate Housewives,” “Devious Maids”). Production on season three will commence Monday, September 12.
“‘Good Witch’ is an annual Halloween tradition and a cornerstone of Hallmark Channel’s success,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. “What began as the network’s highest-rated movie franchise has become a powerhouse, routinely ranking among the top 5 original cable TV series on Sunday nights.”
In the special, Cassie (Bell) welcomes a popular fantasy author and her editor to Grey House. Before long, Cassie inspires her to hold the launch party for her latest book right there in Middleton, which shares mysterious and surprising similarities with her stories. Work begins to transform Middleton into the book’s Halloween-inspired setting of Tarynsville but when the event is threatened, Cassie must conjure up a way to save the day – all the while helping the author and editor find a long-simmering love. Meanwhile, a medical emergency keeps Sam (Denton) busy at the hospital and away from Cassie until a surprise patient brings them closer than ever.
In its second season, “Good Witch” averaged a solid 2.4 L+3 HH rating, making Hallmark Channel the #2-rated cable network in the time period. Additionally, the series reached nearly 9.7 million unduplicated viewers and more than 1.8 million viewers in the W25-54 demographic.*

I love this show . About the only clean show on tv !!! Catherine Bell is perfect for this part and does an awesome performance . Same goes for Balee and James Denton . Can’t wait for the Halloween special!!!! And the series next yr in March or April.
My family are all good witch fans..both the movies and the series… please continue and may I add that we love the movies.. all the seasonal movies and your series but not a fan of the other shpws… home improvement etc… thank you most sincerely…

Ok I’ve watched ALL the good witch movies and I absolutely loved them. But now I want more…..I really don’t wanna watch the series cause the movies got me hooked and I love her family in the movies. So plsssssss Tell HallMark to make more movie sequels of the good witch. Put the ad out too so we’d know one is in the making. I love Catherine and her family, as well as the others surrounding her….. 🙂 Plsssssss….Sincerely a fan hopelessly in love with her acting

I absolutely love the Hallmark Channel and the Good Witch. One of my all-time favorite shows. I am totally bummed now though since I missed the Halloween special. I DVR the Good Witch series and did not realize this show would not be DVRd as part of that series. I have tried multiple ways to find it on demand but to my complete disappointment it is nowhere to be found. PLEASE tell me it will be re-aired.

I love this series and the movies. It’s genius how they entertained the scenes with movies and the series. It lightens the heart and keeps us all in suspense for what’s to come! Thank you for the wonderful movie. It’s awesomely enchanting!!! My family and I enjoy this heartwarming series!!

I’m anxiously awaiting the new season of Good Witch and the Halloween special. I wish there was more of kind of this quality work on TV. Hallmark has a market on this kind of show and the movies because other networks come from a negative point of view but not Hallmark, positive always. Keep up the great work.
