In October, we reported that the classic ’70s kids character H.R. Pufnstuf would be returning to television. Now, Nick Jr. has released a new preview of the character’s upcoming appearance on their children’s TV show Mutt & Stuff.
Created by Sid and Marty Krofft, H.R. Pufnstuf ran from 1969 to 1972 on NBC.
The Nick Jr. series Mutt & Stuff was also created by the Krofft brothers. It premiered in March 2015 and follows a giant stuffed dog named Stuff and his teenage dog school teacher, Calvin. The series is produced by dog whisperer Cesar Milan.
The big crossover episode airs on February 15th.

What do you think? Did you watch H.R. Pufnstuf as a kid? Will you watch the crossover episode with your kids?
I remember H.R. Pufstuf funny thing is I actually bought the entire series (well what was available) on DVD from Amazon for my daughter and she loves it. I enjoyed the memory too. Watching this was nice, they did a great job introducing them. I know my daughter will love watching Pufnstuf on TV. I know it’ll be great seeing it back.
I noticed from the clip Hr Pufnstuf looks the same and so do Cling and Clang and Freddy Flute. Now if the Bugaloos preschool series the Kroffts have hinted in Comic Con last year could do that with Sparky and The original Bugaloos have guest appearances I’m in
I wouldn’t actually mind voicing Sparky or one of the other characters
I will never watch again after they got rid of Mr Shades! He was one of the coolest dogs on the show next to Zippy the great!!! They should
Keep the original dogs they started with. My 2 year old has been looking for his fav dog for months now!!!
Bad call! Goodbye Mutt and Stuff!
I’d rather have seen Stuff go!
