McGarrett and his team still have a job to do. CBS has renewed Hawaii Five-0 for a sixth season.
A reimagining of the original Hawaii Five-0 TV show, this police procedural series revolves around an elite state police task force that fights crime in the 50th state. The series stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Masi Oka, and Chi McBride.
Airing on Friday nights, the fifth season of Hawaii Five-0 averaged a 1.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.47 million viewers. That’s down by more than 12% in the key demo and it led some to suspect that the series would be cancelled this time around. Not so — the series will return next season, likely in the fall.
What do you think? Do you like the Hawaii Five-0 TV show? Do you watch it as it’s being broadcast on Friday nights or, by some other way?
Happy to hear Hawaii Five-O is renewed for Season 6. Peter Lenko has done a great job! Wish the writing would return to the level of the first season which was top notch.
I think this will definitely be the last one. Somehow I get the impression Alex
isn’t enjoying doing the show anymore, or the drivel he’s given to recite. One
torture scene was enough, but Season 5’s was the worst- like a scene out of “A
Clockwork Orange”- the book, not the movie. When it comes to any sort of
writing, only those who can should. Those who can’t- show them the door.
Very happy to see Hawaii Five-O back for another season. Guess we’ll wait until the Fall to find out what went down in that weird and twisted cliffhanger.
Excellent show, excellent acting and beautiful state to film in!!! Congrats to cast and crew!!!
It’s a great show. I am glad CBS came to its senses. Now, they have to move it from Friday nights where shows are left to die.
This is so great to hear. Thank you CBS.
me encanta k sigan asta la 10 temporada
I watched this show with my husband the first two seasons and then gave up. The acting is so HORRIBLE on this show! They have great story lines but it’s so overly acted that I just can’t watch. The star of the show isn’t bad. It’s James Caan’s son that drives me nuts with his horrible acting over gesturing with his hands!!
Yay! I am so glad to hear that Hawaii Five-O is being renewed! Best news all day! I cannot wait for another exciting fantastic season to begin! Bring on that wedding of Kono’s and all the drama that comes with it!
very happy it was renewed.
Very happy with CBS’s decision to renew Five O. otherwise, I may have been forced to visit the CBS Studio Head Office and slap some sense into them. 🙂 It’s a great show with great actors. I like the fact they always find a way to inject a little humor in the show now and then as well…
Not as good as the original, even though in color and in HD. Regardless, worth watching just because of the theme song and the scenery. Hope for some better plots, more action, and less bro-mance comedy between McGarrett and Dano. (Jack Lord must be turning over in his grave.) Understand that Gabriel Wainwright will replace Wo Fat as chief nemesis of the unit and Steve and Danny return to New Jersey for a few episodes. Steve’s mom also returns for a resolution of that plot line. Also Catherine and Steve make another go of it. Fall 2015, I can’t wait.
I most certainly do not want Steve and Catherine to make another go of it. Kill her off, I say! Not that I really need to go spewing bile against her, since others are more than happy to do so, but I get the impression Scott Caan really doesn’t like Ms. Borth very much, nor does he seem to want her there. Did anyone else notice during Season 4 those two weren’t in a lot of scenes together? No love lost there. And on that episode during Season 3, when Steve discovered Catherine had lied to him about what his… Read more »
I love Hawaii Five O and will continue to watch!!! We love Oahu and love seeing all the areas we used to go. I miss living on Oahu so watching Hawaii Five O makes me feel like I’m home…..
I still want to try out for the part of McGarrett’s mother.
I grew up watching the original Hawaii 5-0 with Lord an McArthur, Cam Fong as Chinn Ho and Zulu as Kono WOW, the new version of this program is just as good. Remember most folks back then viewed their programs as “Black and White” telecasts …
I believe the new series has several more seasons left. My opinion, thanks …
Still enjoy the show somewhat. Storylines are getting a bit inane.
Yea, so happy it has been renewed. Love the show. Love seeing scenes of Hawaii, and love the Characters.
Hope this is true. Look forward to seeing it in the Fall 2015 -2016 season. Hip Hip hooray.
