McGarrett and his team still have a job to do. CBS has renewed Hawaii Five-0 for a sixth season.
A reimagining of the original Hawaii Five-0 TV show, this police procedural series revolves around an elite state police task force that fights crime in the 50th state. The series stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Masi Oka, and Chi McBride.
Airing on Friday nights, the fifth season of Hawaii Five-0 averaged a 1.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.47 million viewers. That’s down by more than 12% in the key demo and it led some to suspect that the series would be cancelled this time around. Not so — the series will return next season, likely in the fall.
What do you think? Do you like the Hawaii Five-0 TV show? Do you watch it as it’s being broadcast on Friday nights or, by some other way?
I did not like Season 5 as much as the previous seasons. It was hit and miss. I love H5O and look forward to a better Season 6. My friends and I were also disappointed that we didn’t get to see Adam and Kono get married. They are a big part of the reason we watch the show. These two have amazing chemistry compared to other couples on TVdom. We think Adam should be a regular. The Jerry and Grover characters are forced on us, not crazy about it.
Me and my best friend absolutely love hawaii 50!! Please DO NOT EVER cancel it. It is funny and captivating and the best thing on tele. Can’t wait for season 6 and hopefully many more to come!
Love this show! Glad Steve & Danny are back in sinc – they’re relationship is the heart of the show. Kudos for showcasing the traditions and beliefs of the Hawaiian people and giving us a fun & entertaining ride each week – can’t wait until Sept!
Mahalo to cast & crew for job well done.
Very happy !
Love the show! Watch every episode and then buy the DVD and watch again. Mahalo!
Yay, seasonn six!!! (Maybe Jery will get the badge he’s earned)
Absolutely thrilled that 5-0 is returning. I’m from Hawaii, but now reside in California. I’m also retired from the Navy after serving 28 years on active duty. The actors, producers, writers, and director of this version 5-0 really do justice for Hawaii by revealing the tradition of the island people and culture, as well as, honor the men and women who serve in our our armed forces. And of course, incredible and thrilling story lines. Action pack, high drama, and quality of the filming makes this series the best in television viewing. Thank you CBS!
Absolutely love hawaii five o and now have my friends hooked so pleases to have it renewed for season 6 and hopefully many more seasons
Oh-thank God they renewed it! It is my favorite show! Keep it coming!!!
I started watching Hawaii five-O in the about the middle of the season, after a friend recommended it. I instantly got hoocked! I couldn’t wait for fridays to come around. I even went out and bought season 1-3 to catch on the show. Haven’t gotten to season 4 yet but I will. I really enjoy the show and I am very glad to see another year!
hawaai 5-0 is wonderful good work guys really love it just keep it going till season 100 or something wish it will never end thanx
i really hope catherine will be back..she is humanizing steve …she adds so much to the show…
Happy to hear the renewal news. Suggest that there be less bickering between the “Steve and Daniel”. If you don’t like Hawaii, go back to Jersey. Daniel causes lots of hostility and the show should be about solving crimes in Hawaii, showing the beautiful scenery and lovely people of Hawaii. Daniel is the downfall. Although a fictitious elite police task force, there has to be more substance to the plot. Personal conflicts and problems are ok, but when it goes on and on….stop already. Enough hate talk about Hawaii.
As Al Harrington (Ben Kakua) used to say: “Amen, Brotha.”
I’m very happy to hear that the show will be here for one more year! (I hope for more than one…). I am fanatic with the show and even more so with Alex o Loughlin. But even I have to admit that it is not as great as it was the First season. But… I hope for the best!!!
The episodes are good. They’d be better if CBS moved Five-O up an hour it’s a better show than ABC’s crappy sitcoms like last man standing.
