Major Crimes has some new company. Deadline reports American Crime Story star Leonard Roberts has joined the TNT TV series.

The crime drama follows the further investigations of the detectives in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes division. The cast includes Mary McDonnell, Tony Denison, GW Bailey, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, and Robert Gossett.

On season five of Major Crimes, Roberts will recur as Commander Leo Mason, the “handsome, intelligent, and charismatic” chief of the LAPD’s Criminal Intelligence Division. If the series is picked up for a sixth season, Roberts will be bumped up to a series regular.
