There are plenty of crime dramas but Motive has a twist. The audience is shown the killer’s identity at the start of each episode. Will this be enough to make it a ratings winner for ABC? We shall see.
The first season of Motive typically airs Thursday nights on the ABC network. The drama’s cast includes Kristin Lehman, Louis Ferreira, Lauren Holly, Roger Cross, Brendan Penny, and Cameron Bright.
Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if ABC will want to air a second season of Motive.

What do you think? Do you like Motive TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season on ABC?
great show–great characters -well written –no car chases or magic tricks so I guess it will be canceled
Watch a lot of crime shows and wasn’t looking to add anymore, but I really like this show! I hope they flesh out the main characters more and give the show a chance!
Interesting idea, the why-done-it is supposed to be the climax of the episode, the majority of which are a bit bland and generic. The 2 main detectives are bland as can be, love the actors but they can do so much better than they’re allowed to be here. As the climaxes of the episodes are not all that interesting, they need to increase my emotional interest in the 2 main detectives, the combination might keep me interested, otherwise cancel it. another great show….which means it will probably be cancelled 🙁
LOVE THIS SHOW. PLEASE GIVE IT A CHANCE. I love the main character. She’s a riot and great in her role. I watched her on the Killing and she was fantastic on that also.
She was on the courtroom drama “Century City” (with Viola Davis) which took place in LA in 2048; but the show aired in the mid-90’s… All 13 (or so) episodes are on Netflix. I watched it in the winter and spring and it was cool to see her pop up in the previews for Motive.
I love this show! It has a good script and performances are believable. I really hope it won’t get canceled.
Loving this show..why just 3 episodes..please don’t let it be cancelled
I really liked the show. don’t cancel!!!
Please keep the show, it is very entertaining
Loved it. Please don’t cancel it!
This is another one of those interesting shows that keeps me wanting more. The acting is believable and the casting is excellent. I love this show and although I don’t know the first episode that was aired, watching them out of sequence doesn’t seem to matter at this point in time. It’s just good television. Thanks for keeping this one.
My wife and love the cast. Interesting concept for a TV program.Different from other detective shows.
love this show! The family is hooked and hope it stays around for a long time!
Interesting variation of the crime drama. It’s fun to see the killer and victim at the opening and then follow the trail that brings them together. Hope it makes it
Motive is a mix of characters similar to other shows.
The cast does not fit together it is more or less like Castle, Body of Proof and other crime shows put together but does not carry it off like the others.
