What’s next for Mr. Robot? Recently, star Christian Slater spoke with Collider about the future of the USA Network TV show.
The drama centers on Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) a young programmer who is recruited by an underground hacker group to destroy the corrupt and dangerous firm he is paid to protect. The cast also includes Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, and Martin Wallström.
In the interview, Slater revealed season four may be the last for Mr. Robot:
Yeah, Season 4, and I believe that will be the last season. (Show creator) Sam [Esmail] always said it was going to be somewhere in that zone, and he didn’t want to go further than what he could creatively contribute to that storyline. So, I think that Season 4 will be it. I think they’re in the writers’ room, as we speak, putting it all together, but I have no idea what it’s gonna be, or if I’m gonna be floating in and out of scenes. I have no idea, so we’ll see what happens.”
USA Network has not yet announced a premiere date for season four.
What do you think? Do you watch Mr. Robot? Do you think the show should continue beyond season four?
I am a fan and can’t wait for season 4 to begin. Hopefully ratings will be up and will get a season 5.
It probably makes sense because we are now starting to see the whole picture and they can plan ahead and give us a riveting conclusion.
It was originally supposed to last 5 seasons. If the ratings go up this season(which I doubt) I could see it coming back for one more.
enough is enough
After season 3 there are no surprises or drama left for season 4. They should wrap it up.
No big surprise. After last season’s finale, I felt like there wasn’t much they could do beyond season 4
