NBC‘s new Wednesday night series Taxi Brooklyn has an unusual premise — but sometimes that’s what it takes to become a hit show these days. How’s the series been doing in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Taxi Brooklyn follows Cat Sullivan (Chyler Leigh), a tough NYPD Detective who doesn’t let a demotion to foot patrol stop her from trying to find her father’s killer. She finds an unlikely ally in Leo Romba (Jacky Ido), a taxi driver from Marseille. The rest of the cast includes James Colby, Jose Zuniga, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Heck, Ally Walker, and Raul Casso.

This police series got off to a lackluster start at the end of June with the first episode drawing just a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers. The ratings have gone up and down over the course of the season but have trended downward. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 0.7 demo rating and just 4.42 million viewers.
Ordinarily, numbers like these would mean that a show would be cancelled outright. However, NBC licenses this show from EuropaCorp Television so their costs are lower. While it seems likely that NBC will cancel Taxi Brooklyn, EuropaCorp could potentially produce a second season and find another US outlet to air it.

Please do not take this off the air, so many good shows have been taken off, I for one do not like getting hooked to the show and then disappointed becaususe they ended it! This show is great and you learn to like all of the characters, even though they may have a past, also they always have a good plot and they never had any bad acting. Please DO NOT cancel this show, it is one of the best shows on TV these days and I love watching it with my fiance. The last show was so intense and there is no way you canyou can cancel it now, we need to see the outcome of this finalle…please keep this show on the air, no matter what Chanel it ends up on.
I love this show and the last episode just opened up the series for a second season of storylines. This is an entertaining and exciting show to watch with a cast that just really works well together. A winning combination like this needs time to develop a following. Is there really something better in development for a short run summer series to replace this show? By past experience with this network, I don’t think so. These summer series need time to grow. Please don’t cancel the show.
I am so sick of outstanding shows being cancelled after only one season. Give it a chance to be enjoyed and looked forward to. Hardly any of today’s “hits” were popular in their beginnings. Taxi Brooklyn is an engaging and enjoyable show that deserves the chance to become a great show. Don’t cancel it.
It is a awesome, fast paced show with lots of twists and turns. I love the inter action with all the different characters.
Please, please keep it !!! Our whole family watches it together!!!

The show should be renewed. Good chemistry between the characters. Leo and Cat work so well together. You could not pay me enough to watch a so called reality show but I look forward to this show. Keep it on the air. If not on NBC, I hope another network will pick it up. GOOD SHOW!
please don’t cancel, there is a lot of junk on you could cancel. why take off a good show, when soooooooooooooo many you would have to pay me to WATCH !!!!!
This should definitely be renewed. The cast is better than good and the characters they bring to life are multi-dimensional. However, the audience is just getting to know them. I believe as word of mouth spreads they will obtain additional viewers.
I think this could have been a season opener or even a mid-season replacement.
