NBC‘s new Wednesday night series Taxi Brooklyn has an unusual premise — but sometimes that’s what it takes to become a hit show these days. How’s the series been doing in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Taxi Brooklyn follows Cat Sullivan (Chyler Leigh), a tough NYPD Detective who doesn’t let a demotion to foot patrol stop her from trying to find her father’s killer. She finds an unlikely ally in Leo Romba (Jacky Ido), a taxi driver from Marseille. The rest of the cast includes James Colby, Jose Zuniga, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Heck, Ally Walker, and Raul Casso.

This police series got off to a lackluster start at the end of June with the first episode drawing just a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers. The ratings have gone up and down over the course of the season but have trended downward. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 0.7 demo rating and just 4.42 million viewers.
Ordinarily, numbers like these would mean that a show would be cancelled outright. However, NBC licenses this show from EuropaCorp Television so their costs are lower. While it seems likely that NBC will cancel Taxi Brooklyn, EuropaCorp could potentially produce a second season and find another US outlet to air it.

Please don’t cancel the show, I watch a lot of police drama is on television and I find this to be very refreshing.

Plus, after the “Revenge” episode, I just HAVE to know what happened to all of the characters.

Just watched finale of Taxi Brooklyn…..Can’t believe it might be cancelled….I really like this show….as does my husband and many friends and co-workers….Come on where do ratinga really come from????????? Please RENEW!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t cancel i love this show i love the thrill of each crime case that was given in every episode plus it will suck if they don’t at least do a second season,Because the episode called Revenge still has some unfinished business. I hope to see it continue on nbc or air on another channel but if they are going to cancel at least give a season 2 and have a good ending.

I haven’t missed an episode. I love the plot, the characters, and the humor that the characters provide(thanks to the show’s writers). If the show had to change networks, I would continue watching “Taxi Brooklyn” — as long as viewers were made aware of the change via commercials.
Considering that the first season was an interesting and truly enjoyable ride, please keep “Taxi Brooklyn” going.
Why do all the stations cancel the good ones and keep crap on??? Taxi Brooklyn was a refreshing twist on crime which I found funny at times and very endearing.
