NBC‘s new Wednesday night series Taxi Brooklyn has an unusual premise — but sometimes that’s what it takes to become a hit show these days. How’s the series been doing in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Taxi Brooklyn follows Cat Sullivan (Chyler Leigh), a tough NYPD Detective who doesn’t let a demotion to foot patrol stop her from trying to find her father’s killer. She finds an unlikely ally in Leo Romba (Jacky Ido), a taxi driver from Marseille. The rest of the cast includes James Colby, Jose Zuniga, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Heck, Ally Walker, and Raul Casso.

This police series got off to a lackluster start at the end of June with the first episode drawing just a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.34 million viewers. The ratings have gone up and down over the course of the season but have trended downward. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 0.7 demo rating and just 4.42 million viewers.
Ordinarily, numbers like these would mean that a show would be cancelled outright. However, NBC licenses this show from EuropaCorp Television so their costs are lower. While it seems likely that NBC will cancel Taxi Brooklyn, EuropaCorp could potentially produce a second season and find another US outlet to air it.
But, what do you think? Do you like the Taxi Brooklyn TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Would you watch it on another channel?
Show started slow but got steadily better. By the end i was quite enjoying it. Think it seserves another season to show what it can do.
Please do not cancel the show. My mother in law showed me it on hulu and got me addicted to it. Does her mom die? Does her ex husband dies? What happens to her friend that is mob leader? I and others want to find out. Thanks for your time and consideration.
Please don’t cancel.
It’s a great show and I love the actors and the rolls they play. I look forward to watching it weekly. Please don’t cancel it.

Yes I would definitely watch it. Loved the characters
My wife and I love the show. Funny and entertaining….
Keep it for season 2
It’s great show. Lots of action without being bloody. The final episode was moving and exciting, this show should continue.
I love this show, the characters, the plots, and it’s funny. The season finale left us with too many questions. This show needs to be renewed. We need more shows like these and less reality shows.
Renew!!!!! Need season 2!!!
I like this show. It shows the frailties of us all. I hope it won’t be canceled as I look forward to watching it.
Great show cant even believe its a cancel!!!!!!!!!
Please PLEASE don’t cancel! We need a season 2 for Annabella and Rhys to pay! That season finale was a nailbiter and I just stopped crying (finished the episode just before I started typing this). I’m so emotionally infested now. They couldn’t have killed Greg, mom and Ronnie.
Stupid concept, poorly executed. Unrealistic
I could probably list at least a hundred shows that have a Stupid concept, are poorly executed and Unrealistic, but this show has endearing characters and an interesting, even if unrealistic, story line and plot. Surely it does not imitate life but who want to watch a show that imitates life. TV is an escape from the nonsense in our everyday lives.
THOUGHT PROVOKEING……….GOOD ENTERTAINMENT……..
Another wonderful show possibly cancelled. Why is it the really bad shows seem to have no chance of getting off the schedule??? And the good ones go fast. This is a great program, so much better than most of the drama shows on any network ( A & E cancelling Longmire is just as dumb). The final show was so powerful I found myself absolutely drawn in by the fast moving plot. I will admit I cried when it ended and said there is NO WAY Taxi Brooklyn can be cancelled, I hope the network comes to their senses and… Read more »
