On Sunday night, FOX aired another Christmas episode of the long-running Simpsons series, titled “The Fight Before Christmas.” At the end of the episode, the crazy characters were “Muppetized” and appeared as puppets. The segment contains numerous allusions to the classic Muppet Show (including geezers in the balcony) as well as Sesame Street.
Katy Perry plays herself in the clip. One would think that it was done as a nod to the “controversial” performance she did with Elmo a couple months back. Word is that this segment was filmed before that incident and just happens to be a happy coincidence.
