Tyrant was cancelled after just three seasons on FX, and the reasons behind the shocking cancellation have now been revealed. Bert Salke, the FOX 21 President, spoke about those reasons with The Hollywood Reporter.
Salke said the following:
“We knew after the second year and were really aware that for a show we felt so strongly about — and the fan base felt so strongly about — that the numbers weren’t commensurate with the base for the show. Nobody was more aware than the FX people and John wanted to get in front of it. Chris, Howard and the studio went in with very open eyes and hoping for the best. We were getting behind it the same way we do every year and preparing for any number of outcomes. There were no surprises.”
There is hope that the series will return. Tyrant is being actively shopped to streaming services. It could land on Netflix or Hulu.

Please make available another season of Tyrant. I really enjoyed the show and felt the ending definitely alludes to more Tyrant. I surprisingly felt I understand the Middle East somewhat better than I did prior to watching the show.

You can’t just keep watchers hanging on a cut off ending that is not fair we invested all that time watching it and rating it, for what? A cut off ending with no reason. There needs to be a 4th season even though it may not be true events it does give perspective to the Middle East and how people live there, it made me think.
Continue Tyrant with additional seasons!
