Tyrant was cancelled after just three seasons on FX, and the reasons behind the shocking cancellation have now been revealed. Bert Salke, the FOX 21 President, spoke about those reasons with The Hollywood Reporter.
Salke said the following:
“We knew after the second year and were really aware that for a show we felt so strongly about — and the fan base felt so strongly about — that the numbers weren’t commensurate with the base for the show. Nobody was more aware than the FX people and John wanted to get in front of it. Chris, Howard and the studio went in with very open eyes and hoping for the best. We were getting behind it the same way we do every year and preparing for any number of outcomes. There were no surprises.”
There is hope that the series will return. Tyrant is being actively shopped to streaming services. It could land on Netflix or Hulu.

This was a great show, good plot, great acting, current topic. It seems any show that has real substance gets cancelled. Longmire is another example.
Such a great show! This was a great Tv time with my spouse and we could not wait when it came on. Great plot, great actors. Not only on TV but also social media tweets I received from several of the actors responding. Great collaboration and exclusivity to the fan base. Season 4 please commence.

Yes there should be a season 4 especially since gives hope of peace over war to big part of the Arab nation where today endlessly wats almost everywhere is always opted for instead of peace. We wish leaders of the world did watch and have learnt from this. Please bring Tyrant back.
