Mistresses: Season Two Renewal Coming? Cast Options Extended

Mistresses season two?Despite having low ratings, it looks like ABC’s Mistresses might end up getting renewed for a second season anyway.

TVLine reports that the network has quietly extended their options on the show’s core cast through the end of September.

While the Monday night drama could still be cancelled, this move means that ABC hasn’t given up on Mistresses just yet and likely wants to see how the whole season performs before making a decision.

Mistresses has been averaging a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.84 million total viewers. The most recent installment hit a series low with a 1.0 rating and 3.47 million.

The network ordered 13 episodes and the last of them will air on September 9th.

What do you think? Are you hoping that Mistresses is renewed for a second season or cancelled instead?

I really enjoy this show with my woman. We get together every Monday so that we can watch this awesome and scandalous show. I remember when I was much younger there were groups that would organize to watch Dallas when it was in its hayday (80’s). So that is what we do now. We organize drinks and dinner around this show. I hope that ABC will have the guts to renew it. Ms. Milano would also not put her time and money and efforts into this show unless she also believed in it.

PLEASE can we have another series of Mistresses. I found it on sky boxed sets and watched episodes 1 to 13 from Saturday afternoon until I completed ep 13 on Sunday. I loved it. What is wrong with the American viewing public? This series was ace! Why we’re the viewing figures so low? Come on America get voting!
