Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
I LOVE that series. It should have been on a different night then the talent shows. I am so sad it has been cancelled 🙁

NBC did the right thing. “Believe” didn’t have enough in the tank to sustain a second season. The Premise was interesting, but the feed was anemic. The Lead “Bo” became a good samaritan/ hero for most of the 12 episodes, and the lack of an explanation of her powers turned viewers off. No one knew if her powers were manmade, of natural selection, or spiritual. In fact, similar stories with pre-pubecent female lead characters with unusual abilities have consistently failed with audiences. Only if it is over the top, and horrific ex: Stephen King’s “Carrie” “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne… Read more »
Really my household found all these shows interesting! NBC didn’t want this show to succeed. They put it in Sunday night at 9pm. That really didn’t even make sense. It has been one of the first shows my family has watched as a family. My grand daughter looked forward to staying up and watching the show. Who cares about where her powers came from. It was an enchanting, compassionate show that shows the good in people. Why do we have to reality. For Gods same we live reality every day . I don’t need anymore reality for living in this… Read more »

You may well be right in what you say. Believe at least was a program that had a storyline – program you can sit down to and it captured your interest. Whether specific scientific facts have to be present to make it believable is neither here nor there. For those scientific minds that want it to be more factual, they can click their channel finder to the more convincing science shows or PBS or Nat Geo or the more prolific stories that inhabit the mind’s inquisitive side. Here we are talking about NBC and family shows that at least can… Read more »

NBC No Body Cares!
I went to the NBC ‘We Want Your Opinion’. They wanted me to register for their panel. I did. While registering, I got to my boiling point again. To register for their panel, you give your household information, etc. The BANE of my existence. If interested I posted about the rating issue on June 22nd at around midnight.
I did leave a message for them to start reading the answers to the questions they put out to us that do care!
you can leave an opinion without registering for their panel.
I shouldn’t have said, ‘They wanted me to register for their panel.” That made it sound like you had to which you don’t, as Mary says. I wanted to see what this ‘panel’ thing was and that is all, so I registered. The last sentence is what I put in the “We Want Your Opinion” section.
Great shows. NbC…more reality shows! Cancelling cable..crap on tv these days

Unbelieveable !!!! Who makes these decisions ? This was the most interesting show that’s come down the pike in years. Hope they have the good sense to rethink this cancellation.
