Was your favorite CBS TV show just cancelled? Odds are? No. The Tiffany Network just issued early renewals to a slew of new and returning TV series and Blue Bloods topped the list. That’s right, fans. The Blue Bloods TV show has been renewed for an eighth season.
A CBS family and police procedural drama, Blue Bloods stars Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, Marisa Ramirez, Amy Carlson, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Sami Gayle, and Vanessa Ray.
The seventh season of Blue Bloods is averaging a 1.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.12 million viewers. Compared to season six, that’s down by 4% in the demo and down by 4% in terms of total viewers, so the renewal comes as no surprise.
Here’s the CBS press release:

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Blue Bloods TV series? Do you plan to watch the eighth season on CBS?
I absolutely love Blue Blood and hope it continues forever. I watch all reruns over and over and then look forward to Friday nite and a new show. Love everyone on the show with the exception of Danny, you need to tone him down a little and give Jamie some more time. Tom Selleck is the best. Please keep Blue Blood going forever.
ION Television also runs back-to-back old shows, just in case you’re interested. Discovered it when me limited (read: cheapest) cable package did not include any sports or news channels.

NB: I discovered this website when I googled “Blue bloods’ for a short story I’m writing. The young police officer has a minor role.
And I’m not a millenial
Hooray! Friday night would not be FRIDAY NIGHT without that incredibly handsome and talented Tom Selleck. It’s s show I can watch with my husband (sorry Tom) and my grandkids–not too many of those around anymore. I believe Tom Selleck is at the top of his game; and I NEVER WATCHED Magnum PI. Miss the Jesse Stone series, though. If Tom needs a place to lay his slippers at night, I have a bed (already kicked my husband out of it)!
I will watch Blue Bloods as long as it airs. I even watch the reruns. Wonderful show, family oriented with family values.
Blue Bloods is my favorite TV show. I love the family values everyday and especially at the Sunday dinners . I agree with the person who previously posted that Blue Bloods should last as long or longer than Law and Order . This would be wonderful. The Erin character doesn’t eat the food, she just cuts it or just moves it around her plate. Everyone else is actually eating the food. So, please stop showing Erin’s moving food around on her dinner plate.
Thank god! That means three of my favorite shows are continuing!
Love Blue Bloods. Will watch as long as it airs.
I love the show and as long sad it’s on the air I will be watching it. New episodes as well as reruns. One of the best shows ever made.
I love Blue Boods
I will watch Blue Bloods on Fridays as I always do, I love the action & family life they portray both sides of situations that provide in depth understanding of many issues we face in society today…thumbs up!!!
Blue Bloods is my favorite show, NCIS used to be but with Ziva & Tony gone no more. Tom Selleck has been great since Magnum, PI. Rest of Blue Bloods are good also. Hope it runs for years!
#1 show on TV. Very few remaining that a family can all sit together and watch.
Blue Bloods is my favorite show!
I adore blue bloods. It isn’t the only long run series where I have never missed an episode. Reminds me of my Italian family around the dinner table. Thank you for continuing.
I love blue bloods please keep it on it’s a great show
