NBC rounded out their Monday night schedule with a new cop series, Chase. Police shows have performed very well for the networks for years but how did this one perform? Is it a keeper or will it be quickly cancelled?
Chase follows US Marshall Annie Frost (Kelli Giddish) as she heads up the Houston Enforcement & Apprehension Task Force. Annie and her team (played by Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Rose Rollins, and Jesse Metcalfe) hunt down America’s most dangerous fugitives.

The premiere garnered a disappointing 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.3 million viewers. That put Chase in third (last) place in both categories. It lost a significant number of viewers from lead-in The Event — 36% of the demo and 33% of total viewers. It also lost about 15% of viewers in the demo between the start and finish of the episode.
While this is much better than last year’s The Jay Leno Show, this mediocre start doesn’t bode well for Chase’s future. If the ratings decline in week two, as they typically do for new shows, it could be in real trouble.
Based on this performance alone, it seems unlikely that NBC would bother ordering any episodes beyond the initial 13 installments.

omg did anyone see the new episode of chase? awesome, now i cant wait for next wednesday. it so good. i hope they dont cancel it but they should’ve kept on monday now it has so much competition. And sorry about posting the wrong date it came back on. hope u guys enjoyed it as much as i did
KEEP IT! This show has so much potential. I love the cast. It’s worth saving for sure.

Please keep CHASE on the air. Or, at least give us an address to write NBC and producers. I am sick of game and relaity shows that show Americans at their worst. CHASE is well produced and directed. The characters are great! Cole Houser, Jesse Metcalfe and Amaury Nolasco are the sexiest men on television. This is a very good show. Please keep it on the air.
This show is a keeper. There is so much garbage on TV these days .I for one am sick of Reality Shows. I don’t watch that much Network TV ,but I make it a point to tune in this one.
I so dislike this show its not even funny. The formula of the show is cool but the elements of the actors suck..they just seem misplaced and unconvincing, mechanical even. And dare I even say it the acting sucks! Did u see that episode when the woman hijacked the truck? Its kinda texas walker ranger funny type crappy acting!

After seeing the previews for Chase I decided to tune in, and WOW, I loved it from the very first minute. Annie Frost is my kind of police woman, she is not afraid of anything or anyone. I got my family hooked on it too. Every Monday night we tuned in, I sure hope the powers that be give it another chance.
Why-oh-why do the Networks bring back stuff like Hawaii 5-0, too many talk shows–allday long, Law and Order, etc. and then cancel something with a new text like Chase?? I really did like this show and I, for one, do not think Annie is a poor actress. I was enjoying the storyline and something different every week. Please re-think this one. I am one older lady who quite frankly is tired of all the “fashion shows, how-to-dress shows, cooking for 24 hrs. straight, etc.
I enjoy this show as much as I did “Commander in Chief”, but as with all shows that don’t garner the ratings, they get cancelled. Its unfortunate that dumb ass reality shows seem to be popular, and that I can’t figure out. Remake shows / movies ….ie “Hawaii Five O, True Grit etc just doesn’t cut it. Whats wrong with you NBC?
Love the show, love the stories, love the characters…please, please bring it back & keep it back.
I like this show a lot because it’s different. There is a strong male role in every other show out there. It doesn’t bother me that this one is the other way around. I don’t see her coming off as more of a man than him, I see her as a tomboy who is good but tries to over compensate because she is a woman and her father was a criminal. I’m quite disappointed I think this one is doomed because it is going to be on during two other popular shows like American Idol and Cougar Town.
I’m afraid Chase is on it’s way out. NBC never really got behind the show and promoted it like it did The Event (by the way where is that show now?) I think the biggest problem with the Chase is the character Annie Frost. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about strong female leads (think Olivia Dunham on Fringe) but when you partner her with a character played by a man’s man like Cole Hauser and she comes off as more of a man than him, that’s a problem. At the beginning of the fall season my wife and I were searching for a show to watch. We saw a couple episodes of “The Event,” then watched the pilot episode of “Hawaii 5-0” the next week. By the third week we decided to check out the show called “Chase.” We were hooked.
