A certain rapper has had his career cut short. FX has cancelled Chozen after one season of 10 episodes.
This animated comedy follows Chozen, a gay white rapper who’re recently been released from prison. He’s now got a new message and is on a quest for redemption, to claim his rightful position as the world’s top rap artist. Chozen stars Bobby Moynihan as the voice of the title character. Others in the Chozen cast include Hannibal Buress, Michael Peña, Nick Swardson, Kathryn Hahn, and Method Man.
The series debuted in January to 946,000 viewers with a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Viewership dropped about 30% in week two and got worse for subsequent episodes. The season finale on March 31st hit a new low with 451,000 viewers and a 0.3 demo rating.
Though the cable channel is still committed to putting out original scripted content, the ratings were too low to mandate a second season of Chozen.

Real shame to hear no session 2!
Was genuinely funny and felt fresh, had some of the edge early archer had but is now losing with each season.
To much emphasis on shows to appeal to everybody, sanitises everything.
Only problem with this show had was not enough people knew about it, totally an audience out there for it..
Speaking as one who finds most prime time entertainment dull and predictable I now have one less thing to look forward to on tv….
Thanks for trying Fx but have a little patience.

My husband and I loved that show. It’s so depressing when you find a show you really enjoy watching ends up getting cancelled. Probably because it’s not “PC” enough for most people.

Aw ! That’s really sad. We really enjoyed the show , it was funny. Not for everyone’s taste i guess but we enjoyed the show and the characters. Sad to know it will not be back.

chosen was an awesome show! It was creative innovative and original! Perhaps instead of it being on FX they should have put it on logo if you wish it would have been a lot higher and logo needs new programming.
Was a good show. Not for the easily offended but that’s what made it funny to me. TV’s so PC now-a-days. SMH FX SMH
No, it was boring and not even remotely funny. PC had nothing to do with it.
Just because -you- like something, doesn’t make it good.
With that logic, just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it bad. Good is relative.
