Code Black has some new company. TVLine reports Moon Bloodgood has joined season three of the CBS TV show.
The medical drama takes place in an LA Emergency Room where the staggering influx of patients often outweighs the limited resources available to the devoted doctors and nurses who work there, creating a condition known as Code Black. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Rob Lowe, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Harry Ford, Luis Guzman, Melanie Chandra, William Allen Young, Boris Kodjoe, and Jillian Murray.
On Code Black, Bloodgood will play ” Rox, a brassy and competitive paramedic who thinks fast on her feet and doesn’t scare easily.” Rox will be the new ride-along partner for Rob Lowe’s character, Dr. Willis.
Season three of Code Black is expected to debut on CBS in early 2018.

I can hardly wait for season 3 to start. Why do we have to wait so long?
This is the best medical drama on television. It is not a soap like the “other” major medical show but real drama with an excellent cast and writing. Marcia Gay Harden – as the strong female lead – is really great, as are Luis Guzmán and Rob Lowe. Am really disappointed by the delayed start of Season 3, but since all signs pointed to no Season 3 at all, I will take whatever I can get. Please at least give it a full 18 episode season?
Although Code: Black’s episodes may not always be as consistent as I would like to see, the best thing is that lady doctor who is a solid main character and driving force that makes you want to come back for more. And when it is really great such as the one in which Marlee Matlin was in, it is really really really damn good!!!r2EBt
I couldn’t be happier for you to bring back Code Black. This show is one of the good shows on TV and it would be so disappointing for it to be gone. So thumbs up for code black CBS, good decision!

I was so disappointed when I thought it might not come back for a 3rd season. It is a wonderful show!! There are always life lessons to be learned, perspectives you may have never thought about. Whether it’s happy or sad, I cry every episode. It is more than another emergency room drama, it goes beyond those ER doors and into people’s lives. I LOVE it and am so glad it will be returning. I can’t wait to see Mama and his new group of interns LOL
