Code Black finished it second season last month, but CBS has still not announced if it will return for another season or not. What do you think? Would you watch a third season of the TV series?
A medical drama, Code Black takes place in a Los Angeles ER plagued by a staggering influx of patients that often outweighs the limited resources available to the devoted doctors and nurses who work there. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Rob Lowe, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Harry Ford, Luis Guzman, Melanie Chandra, William Allen Young, Boris Kodjoe, and Jillian Murray.
Despite the addition of Rob Lowe to the cast, season two of Code Black dipped in the ratings. The season averaged a 0.97 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 5.984 million viewers, placing it in the bottom half of CBS‘ 2016-2017 series. For comparison, season one averaged a 1.27 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.11 million viewers.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I would watch another season of Code Black. Please bring it back! It’s reminiscent of ER and Chicago Hope. The stories are relevant, and the acting is superb.

I really hope they bring Code Black back for a third season! My wife and I will be very upset if we don’t get to see all our friends again. We like it because it’s like ER on meth, driving a school bus full of angry chimpanzees, on fire.

I see I am late to the party here of those who love Code Black. I am a nurse who finds this medical show to be a little more realistic on the medical than most. Of course the high drama of a one hour show is over the top but the characters lives are nicely woven into the cases being portrayed and developed as a season plays out. I love Marcia Gay Harden and my “mama”. Please keep it afloat.
