FOX pulled the Tim Minear action series Drive off the air after only two weeks and four episodes due to low ratings. The network had given the series a truckload of promotion but, for whatever reason, the series didn’t catch on — at least as quickly as FOX would have liked. Would the series ever return?
FOX has announced that Drive will be returning to primetime. Unfortunately it will be a one-time event. The network will run the unaired fifth and sixth episodes of Drive on July 4th — one of the least-watched nights of regular television. They’re also calling them the “final episodes” which means the show has indeed been cancelled and viewers have no chance of ever seeing the race’s conclusion.
True fans might want to visit the Tim Minear website where they can read the scripts of the first four episodes of Drive. But beware of spoilers — due to some editing changes, some scenes in the episodes three and four scripts were shifted to appear in later episodes. Maybe we’ll get lucky and the site will post scripts for unfilmed episodes sometime in the future. Stay tuned!

I am the mother of 6 natural children and 2 step children ages 2,8,9 14, 14, 17, 23 and 25 and four grand kids 2,5,6, and 9 all but the 2 years olds and us 46 year old parents loved watching Drive. It was entertaining and different. We planned also time around the show. This is exactly why I hate ALL Fox shows (except Prisonbreak is my favorite show) and even that they managed to stretch it out. DRIVE was a very good show but FOX f**kin sucks!!! I mean 24 is the worst show now and House is stupid, BRING BACK DRIVE!!! I think ANOTHER station should buy it and recast NATHAN FILLER, yeah I know everyone likes him but his too weird for Drive.
Anyone remember “Reunion” Fox screwed us in that show too. At least if they knew they were going to cancel, they did it early this time, so we didnt stick the time we did into Reunion, into “Drive”…Still waiting for that show, and the OC to return 😉 so those fans of Drive….Dont hold your breath…and for the gal that gave up sex for “Drive”…I feel sorry for your boyfriend, haha
Put Back Drive it was the best series it has in fox.It has everything racing miles with no limits also rasons to win.By winning this race i enjoy it the first time i saw it show premiere. In sunday for two hours i was already in it by seeing and thinking who will win the race.It’s the best action series ever i never seen series like this before by winning. the race that’s why put it back by letting us know who will be eliminated from the race.Most important who will win it by driving and getting their prize.
Drive was definitely the best new show and fox did not even give it a chance. People were just hearing how great it was and going to start watching it. DRIVE FANS NEED TO TAKE A STAND. Thats what Jerico fans are doing. They are calling all the ph.#’s and sending thousands of emails. They are even sending thousands of nuts to CBS for there slogan NUTS from the show. We need to have a strategy and fight the networks back for treating fans like this. If we all come together we can make a difference.
This sux, maybe if enough people watch it and send in complaints Fox may reconsider their stupid decision. Everyone that has commented on any website said that this was the best show ever!
I remember a station that cancelled Family Guy. What a mistake that was and they realized it. We can only hope they realize this mistake too.
Well, let’s see. I did’nt watch the episode one time while it was airing I put it on my DVR then watched it later. Duh, some of us can’t be home all the time. But thats why we pay for dvr services so we can watch the shows we like LATER. Do those reviews count? THIS SUCKS i really liked that show i was all into it and i love 24 and house too…but 24 is over tonight so i thought then i would have drve to watch… drive didn’t really get a chance u should of gave it more time
Yeah, I agree with all you guys! Fox sucks! there’s nothing good on there anymore. Hopefully, Drive can be picked up by another network. One that’s not nearing its own cancellation. I’m glad Fox is no longer part of my channel selection…
I cannot believe that Fox cancalled Drive. It had action, suspense, drama, and everything a good show is made of. And they ended it with no warning?? This was the one and only show I, and millions of people, were actually into, and naturally they pull it. This is unbelieveable. And to talk about bad ratings then put it back on on the 4th of July is another stupid move. Someone needs to show the unaired shows….HOw about movie theatres doing special shows? People would pay to see the shows missed.
Just when I get interested in a show you cancel it! why is that! drive is just as good as heroes..I love the anticipation! I couldnt wait to see what was going to happen ..It’s so annoying when you get into something and want to see what happens and then you never get an ending ..UGH!!!
