The late George Michael didn’t just make an impact on the world of music. Recently, the creators of Eli Stone spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the pop star’s appearance on the cancelled ABC TV series.
George Michael, best known as a member of the pop group Wham! and as a successful solo artist, died on December 25th at the age of 53.
Created by Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, Eli Stone starred Jonny Lee Miller as a San Francisco-based lawyer who begins having strange hallucinations. One of those hallucinations involved seeing George Michael.
Speaking to EW, Guggenheim said the musician was not only talented but genuinely nice:
George was a singular talent. He had a gift for music that only comes along once in a generation. It was just a bonus that he happened to be one of the nicest, most genuine people you could meet. Many of my fondest memories of the Eli Stone experience are associated with him. 2016 has taken another gift from us.”
