Like many of the shows on the UPN and the WB, the recently-announced network merger has left Everwood fans hanging. With only half as much airtime to fill, execs at the new CW network have some tough choices to make. Shows like Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls and Smallville seem like a shoe-in for return but a show like Everwood has a less than certain fate.
The first CW schedule won’t be released for quite awhile but the future doesn’t look promising for the drama series for a couple reasons. Everwood hasn’t shown great numbers and has been off the air for months. The latter is in part due to the fact that reruns of the show typically don’t do well in the ratings. In addition, Everwood creator Greg Berlanti recently signed a three-year production deal with competing studio Disney. Though he’ll be busy with other projects, Berlanti reportedly expressed hope that the show will see a fifth season.
Fortunately for viewers, Executive Producer Rina Mimoun isn’t taking chances. It’s been said that she’s preparing two alternate scripts for this season’s final show — a season finale and a series finale — so that show fans won’t be left hanging if the show doesn’t return.
The Treat Williams drama is scheduled to return to the WB airwaves on March 27, 2006 with the remaining new episodes of the 2005-06 season. 
I am truly amazed that one of TV’s most realistic series is being cancelled.
They all worked and blended well and all ages watched this wonderful and down to earth show.
The exec’s must of missed all the fan mail that was sent to the cast.
Everwood will be missed.
Truely miss not having Everwood on the fall schedule
again. Heard on T.V. the other day that ABC would
have Everwood on the fall schedule, any truth to
this? Please bring back Everwood for all the Baby
Boomers in Washington state.
If CW doesn’t want Everwood, why doesn’t another
network pick it up? Thought I heard on T.V. the
other day, it would be on ABC in the fall. But nothing shows up on their fall listing. Having
Everwood go off the air is a great loss to the
Baby boomers in this country. And there are alot
of us, here in Washington state.
We want Everwood back, and we want it to stay.
A top of the line quality show deserves to be on
a top of the line network!
I can’t beleive that Everwood is being cancelled !! Whoever is in charge should be fired . All of the Really good shows are being taken off so we can either watch the new junk like Friday nigt smackdown or who is going to be the next new model . Omg!!!! What was the network thinking?! Why would you cancel a great sohw like Everwood? It was interesting and different! Oh make sure you put on 7th heaven! That show seems like it will never end! It has been around for 10 YEARS and all the episodes are corny and boring! Everwood has been around for only 4 years and is still growing. Give it another chance! The cast and crew have worked so hard and deserves another chance to shine. Please save the show!!!! We love it!!!!

I love this show I have been watching it since it first started I watch a lot of shows like one tree hill, the oc and many more but everwood is my favorite please bring it back

Don’t let Everwood go, that is one of the best show’s on tv, we never miss it. Also the same goes for Gilmore Girls. They are great for family viewing.
how can you even cancel everwood!!??! maybe if you had told people that it was in danger more people could have protested to save the show. now my mom and i wont be able to get together every week and watch our everwood…thanks alot!!!

I misssed the last hour and would love to know the finish , Did Dr Brown succeed and get the lady and did the young couple Ephram etc get back together . Any way that you people wil repeat the show . itis sucha good show for all age groups dealing with life issues and relationships .we need more like them

This is the only show I would sit and watch with my wife, all the other shows especially on WB seem trashy. CW needs to rethink their target audience, as a major corporate executive, I wouldn’t advertise on any show except Everwood on WB
