Like many of the shows on the UPN and the WB, the recently-announced network merger has left Everwood fans hanging. With only half as much airtime to fill, execs at the new CW network have some tough choices to make. Shows like Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls and Smallville seem like a shoe-in for return but a show like Everwood has a less than certain fate.
The first CW schedule won’t be released for quite awhile but the future doesn’t look promising for the drama series for a couple reasons. Everwood hasn’t shown great numbers and has been off the air for months. The latter is in part due to the fact that reruns of the show typically don’t do well in the ratings. In addition, Everwood creator Greg Berlanti recently signed a three-year production deal with competing studio Disney. Though he’ll be busy with other projects, Berlanti reportedly expressed hope that the show will see a fifth season.
Fortunately for viewers, Executive Producer Rina Mimoun isn’t taking chances. It’s been said that she’s preparing two alternate scripts for this season’s final show — a season finale and a series finale — so that show fans won’t be left hanging if the show doesn’t return.
The Treat Williams drama is scheduled to return to the WB airwaves on March 27, 2006 with the remaining new episodes of the 2005-06 season. 
Well, another day and NO EVERWOOD! How long will you make us all set and write and ask you to bring back a GREAT family Show… There are more dumb shows out there that really needs to be removed from the tv. I am an active 63 year old woman who looked forward to Everwood every week. My husband also enjoyed it. It is the only show besides the 6:00 news that I watch. Please bring Everwood back. It was geared for all ages. It was good, not raunchy in any way, but spoke so clearly of today’s society.

I am very disappointed that you have cancelled Everwood.This show I always looked forward to on Monday evening. I think you all need to rethink what you are doing. Take all the other trash off the television, especially Seventh Heaven,this is a POOR EXAMPLE OF A MINISTER FAMILY, it is getting like Peyton Place. Everwood had better content, everday
life experiences. You all need to pay attention to all the comments you are receiving, and reconsider.

I’ve been waiting and waiting for Everwood to start and now you hit me with this are you people at this new CW channel crazy!!!!!!!! Everwood,Smallville,and & 7Th Heaven are the best shows ever, take off that dame Veronica Mars and them dame Gilmore Girls. There are millions of people in the world that are very disappointed by this what about the fan clubs? please bring this show back it’s changed peoples lives.
I guess after reading this page I have figured out that Everwood has been cancelled. I have been looking in the TV guide every week to see when it was returning.
It upsets me that such a great show has been cancelled.
I would hope someone would consider bringing back this great show.
I am about ready to trash my TV. All of the good shows are being cancelled. EVERWOOD was one of the best. It seems like all of the shows that are on now are weird, no good. I always watched 7th Heaven and Everwood on the same night. Even just tonight 7th Heaven has already been switched to another night. I supposed it will be cancelled again next year. You put it on oposite The Amazing Race. THAT’S BAD!!! I would love to see Everwood come back.

I just found out that Everwood was cancelled, and I am very unhappy! It was my favorite show! My 20 year old daughter and I both enjoyed the show immensely! How sad that you cancel quality shows!
By the way, I think that Seventh Heaven, which used to be a quality show, has gone downhill. (For example, in a recent episode, the “sermon” that Lucy gave was distasteful and not believable!) Seventh Heaven desperately needs better writers!
Everwood was a unique show with interesting characters and content! How could you, in your right minds, cancel Everwood? For shame!

We need shows like Everwood. It is truly sad that a quality show that people of all ages can enjoy is taken off the air in favor of empty, shallow ones with casts that are held together by a thread. BRING IT BACK, Please!
One of the best shows you have ever done, and of course the brains making the big payckecks think, and that is bad in itself thinking with nothing to think with, think its better to cancel a pure family show, but, lets put on more surviver shows, we most have more bad language stupid people running the the woods, really has a positive action on our youth, NOT. Everwood is a very good show, it really touched base with me. There are so many shows that DONT show or tell about the true life of a teen, Or the problems that they have in REAL life with family and friends. There are to many teens Looking for answers in these shows and you are all trying to shut them off and out so teens cant find some help in knowing that there are real problems that can be helped if you are trusting and caring.
