CBS has been having a great season. Several of their new shows have been successful and many of their established series are still doing well. Unfortunately, that could be bad news for fans of a little show called Flashpoint.
Flashpoint follows the work of a group of highly trained police officers called the Strategic Response Unit (SRU). The series stars Enrico Colantoni, David Paetkau, Hugh Dillon, Sergio Di Zio, Michael Cram, Mark Taylor, Ruth Marshall, and Amy Jo Johnson.
The show was initially produced for Canada’s CTV and CBS picked up the rights to air season one during the writers strike. It ended up performing well for the network and that led CBS to join CTV in renewing it for seasons two and three.

Season three of Flashpoint was supposed to begin airing early this year but the network has so much successful programming that the show still hasn’t been put back on the schedule.
Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment, recently told critics at the TCA press tour that Flashpoint was now being pushed outside the regular season. That means that the cop series won’t be back until late-Spring or Summer 2010 at the earliest.
While the show has performed well during the summer months in the past, there’s no guarantee that will continue. The show will have been off the air for almost a year by the time it returns. The longer that the show is off the air, the more likely that viewers — and TV executives — will forget about it.

Yes, please bring the show back. I don’t care how long it has been off the air, I just want to see it back. It was one of my favorite along with Criminal Minds, All of the CSI’s, NCIS and NCIS LA, oh just too many to name, but I like Flashpoint. It was really of the best.
Please put flashpoint back on the air soon!!! I have watched and rewatched all the season 1 and 2 episodes online and am dying to see season 3.
Flashpoint is the best television series ever made in its category. I turn on my television to specifically watch it. There is something very compelling about the show and its actors. They have played around too much with this show putting it on and off at random. I have lost all interest in watching anything that television has to offer because of this. If they are going to develop something good and then keep taking it away, why bother.
Whats the hold-up bring flashpoint back!
This is a great drama with believable characters and realistic story lines- well acted plots and just a unique show. Hopefully CBS will see this and bring it back soon!
I have been on pins and needles waiting for Flashpoint to start up again. I really hope that this show isn’t delayed for much longer, and I especially hope the show won’t be cancelled. I have been watching it from the beginning, and I get so deeply involved with each episode that I’m always on the edge of my seat watching every minute. Please bring it back asap. I really miss that show. I hate medium. My Friday night shows are all screwed up now that Flashpoint is gone.

This is just not any cop show. Flash Point is The Cop Show. It deals with the men and women who deal with the leathal eadge of every decision they make, 24/7. And shows us how they are still real people, Keep it on the air. Blessings, Cynthia
Please keep this show on – my husband and I both love it. Great acting. Action packed. Really makes you appreciate the guys who actually do this kind of work on a day to day basis. I’m with Gwen and Dan – forget the realty shows.
yes, bring the show back! It was one of the better shows on tv and i miss it! get rid of some of this reality tv crap and bring it back now!
please bring this show back…why the delays? is it because its Canadian it gets put on the back burner? Why not get rid of these stupid reality shows? We want action, not… who is the prettiest model or bachelor or who has the most money and too greedy to share…Get rid of this **** and bring back some drama, suspense, action!!!!please

We have so few good dramas and Flashpoint is one of the best. It has believable characters, good actors, compelling storylines and no big egos grabbing the limelight. Why can’t CBS see the value of these virtues?
Please bring back Flashpoint. It was one of the best shows on tv. It dealt with reality and real life people and situations. Not these stupid, mindless reality shows. It’s entertaining, action packed and kept you on the edge of your seat. The actors are great and believeable. I only watch a few shows on TV NCIS, NCIS LA, Bones, Law & Order and this is one I never missed.
